About This Role:
As a Weigh & Dispense Associate IV at Biogen, you will play a pivotal role in our SOL Site Supply Chain team, contributing to the integrity of our manufacturing processes. Your daily responsibilities will include executing and documenting Weigh & Dispense operations and material management activities in a cGMP environment. You'll operate sophisticated process equipment, engage in validation protocols, and ensure compliance with all cGMP regulations. This role demands an individual who is detail-oriented, proficient with automated systems, and possesses a strong understanding of process controls. As an integral member of the team, you will maintain your training at the required level and extend support across various site functions, underlining the significance of your position within the broader Biogen business framework.

What You’ll Do:
- Execute Weigh & Dispense manufacturing operations and material management activities in accordance with the daily schedule, ensuring adherence to the recipe and manufacturing documentation.
- Perform troubleshooting and investigation of equipment and process issues, while also proposing continuous improvements.
- Revise cGMP documents as needed and implement equipment and/or process changes.
- Participate actively in training activities, managing your individual training plan, and providing training to other associates.
- Execute validation protocols accurately and efficiently.
- Lead or participate in shift exchanges and coordinate activities and schedules with cross-functional areas.
- Perform any other job duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and a team-oriented approach.
Qualifications
Who You Are:
You are someone with a solid foundation in the chemical, food, pharmaceutical, or biotech industry, and you bring at least 5-8 years of experience from a similar position. Your language skills include English at a B2 level, and knowledge of German or French is a valuable asset. You work effectively both independently and within a team, possessing moderate responsibility for your actions and their impact on the business. As a problem-solver, you demonstrate the ability to document and record job-related information independently, and you understand the importance of consulting with your Lead or deputy when in doubt. You have excellent verbal and written communication skills and collaborate well with support functions, always seeking the best outcomes for patients and the facility.
Required Skills:
- Relevant education from the chemical industry, food industry, pharmaceutical, or biotech industry.
- Industry or process operator or technical craftsman with at least 5-8 years of experience from a similar position.
- Proficiency in English at a B2 level, with German and/or French being an asset.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot equipment and process issues.
- Solid understanding of and adherence to cGMP documentation and regulatory requirements.
- Ability to work independently with minimal direction and moderate responsibility.
- Experience in documenting work and collaborating well with supporting functions.
- A basic knowledge of biopharmaceutical technology and processes.
- Skilled in operational and regulatory procedures of the manufacturing department.
Preferred Skills:
- Strong capability in authoring technical reports and summaries to support investigations.
- Demonstrated ability to assess and troubleshoot equipment and process issues.
- Proven track record of initiating and supporting deviations and investigations.
