About This Role
As Therapy Area Commercial Lead, Established Medicines, you will drive Biogen’s competitive in-market strategy for our Established Medicines Portfolio, including biosimilars and multiple sclerosis medicines. You will provide direct leadership to marketing and sales teams while ensuring alignment and execution across cross-functional teams (Medical, Market Access, Finance, CE&O, Quality, Medical) to achieve patient and business goals.
With full accountability for the P&L, including OPEX planning, revenue and profit delivery, your experience in balancing and aligning investment to drive growth drivers in a dynamic environment will be a key component in delivering success. As a core member of the Commercial Leadership Team, you will contribute to overall strategy development across the Biogen portfolio and foster a high-performing team culture centered on innovation and excellence.

This is a hybrid role, requiring office attendance in Maidenhead for 2-3 days per week.
What You’ll Do
- Lead the Established Medicines business, with revenue potential in excess of $175m, developing and executing targeted plans to differentiate our value proposal, increase value generation and compete effectively in a dynamic market.
- Own the P&L, ensuring strategic and tactical plans optimize profitability while balancing investment trade-offs.
- Develop business cases for core business delivery, new biosimilar launches, and line extensions, ensuring alignment with EU partners and seamless launch execution.
- Recruit, develop, and lead high-performing sales and marketing teams, setting meaningful KPIs and ensuring robust development plans.
- Contribute to UKI Affiliate business goals as a key member of the Commercial Leadership Team.

Qualifications
Required Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Science; CIM marketing diploma preferred.
- Extensive marketing leadership or transferable commercial experience in biotech/pharma.
- Proven P&L management experience.
- Strong business case development and project management skills across complex stakeholder networks (Market Access, Finance, Quality, Supply).
- Experience managing high-value contracts with the NHS and suppliers.
- Previous sales leadership experience.
- Expertise in specialized products in secondary care, including opinion leader engagement.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams across Sales, Marketing, Market Access, Finance, CE&O, Quality, and Medical.
- Strong understanding of competitive market dynamics and cost containment strategies.
- Commercial acumen with the ability to analyze customer and market needs.
- Excellent leadership, motivational, and people management skills.
- Change management expertise, with a track record of building adaptable organizations.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Customer-focused with a passion for field engagement and relationship-building with key stakeholders.
