About This Role

The purpose of the Tender & Pricing Manager role is to identify, implement, monitor, and share innovative solutions to improve tender management strategies and tactics, working closely to cross-functional stakeholders, in order to prepare best offers possible to Public Administrations. This role requires up-to-date expertise in Public Procurement Law to advise on potential impacts to the business, while also leading the alignment of Market Access and Pricing Strategies with BBU’s national pricing policies. Additionally, the Tender & Pricing Manager proactively identifies pricing opportunities, mitigates risks, and ensures cohesive planning in collaboration with field teams to support key business objectives.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and implement tender shaping strategies, procurement options including managed entry agreements and portfolio approaches according to customer needs.
  • Lead change and innovations required by law to present updated and proper documents, while coordinating tasks with other key teams when necessary, including Market Access, Legal, Finance, Quality, etc.
  • Responsible for international reporting of tender reports. 
  • Responsible for leading and following up with vendors in charge of tendering administrative process.
  • Ensure alignment across functions for the development and implementation of major tender shaping strategies, tactics, and processes, involving all relevant internal stakeholders.
  • Full oversight of tender shaping strategies and procurement options and develops actionable and replicable play books for consistency across corporation.
  • Conduct trainings for KAM and Market Access Team in public procurement updates.
  • Support Head of BBU and sales force to interact with public Administration (legal advisor in order to approach properly to a public hospital, different types of procedures that can be published, etc).
  • Coordinate with internal legal department and external lawyers - all actions required as a consequence of tenders (appeals, answers to appeals, trials, etc).
  • Pricing Planning: according to the business priorities, anticipates opportunities and risk, working in full alignment with field teams.
  • Lead Market Access, Pricing Strategies, and Policies developed by BBU and ensure that Implementation Tender Planning is aligned to National Pricing BBU strategy.

Qualifications

Who You Are

You are a strategic tender & pricing expert with a strong foundation in the pharmaceutical industry, dedicated to advancing sustainable access to essential therapies. Your skills span cross-functional collaboration, public tender processes, and complex pricing analysis, enabling you to navigate negotiations with precision and create impactful strategies

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 7 years' experience in the pharmaceutical industry or consulting, including at least 2 years of experience in Tender / Pricing Management
  • University degree in Law, Business Administration, or related field
  • Fluency in English and Spanish (both written and verbal) 
  • Strong experience with public tenders, including regulatory knowledge and best practices for securing successful bids
  • Proven negotiation skills for navigating complex pricing and contract discussions.
  • Strong expertise in developing and implementing pricing strategies, specifically across the pharmaceutical industry
  • Ability to work across departments (e.g., Commercial, Finance) and integrate various needs into cohesive strategies
  • Proven track record in developing and implementing successful tender shaping strategies
  • Strong teamwork skills, with an emphasis on high-quality outputs and continuous improvement
  • Capacity for strategic thinking with a broad perspective, capable of anticipating future trends and challenges

Preferred Skills

  • Understanding of the biosimilars business landscape and the impacts on multiple business areas is nice to have.
