The Strategy and Execution Lead (MLR Lead) for the Neuropsych Franchise is accountable for a high quality and efficient content approval process (ie. MLR) and will drive all operations for his/her respective brand/therapeutic area (TA), including both the front-line MLR review teams and the brand/TA-specific agile pod. This role will partner closely with Marketing and other business stakeholders from strategy development to initiate planning, channel strategies, new messaging, etc., ensuring that all concept and claim level thinking is shared with the pod for early collaboration and effective content execution. This role will also ensure the effective and efficient cascade of pod decisions through to front-line MLR review teams.

The S&E Lead for Neuropsych Franchise currently provides support for a Biogen collaboration in a co-promotional capacity. As such, close collaboration with colleagues at both organizations is an essential responsibility of this role. You will proactively manage the content approval process within the Marketing Operations approval timelines, including requests for Expedited Reviews, applying expertise and organizational influence to drive a timely and compliant content approval process. The S&E Lead for the Neuropsych Franchise will focus on continuous improvement across all facets of the MLR process to maximize efficiency in the review process while maintaining a high-level of quality asset approvals that are compliant in nature. This role prepares reports for Biogen executive leadership on TA pod performance, and adherence to KPIs and metrics. The S&E Lead will partner with the other pod leaders in the implementation of the approved risk framework structure and collaborate with Marketing and MLR leaders to provide operational feedback and input into claims library and reference library content and revisions. S/he may serve as the delegate for the Head of Marketing Operations as required.

Responsibilities

· Manage the day-to-day leadership of the Neuropsych agile pod by partnering with Medical, Legal, Regulatory pod team members, Marketing, and other departments as needed to ensure that the Marketing Operations model results in high-quality, competitive, and compliant materials get to market efficiently.

· Effectively collaborate with business partnership to ensure MLR execution and continued mutually beneficial relationship

· Responsible for capturing, reporting and analyzing business metrics and pod performance, identifying root causes of any process deficiencies, and recommending improvements to be shared and adopted across pod teams, where appropriate

· Partner with business stakeholders in tracking and managing the annual plan through quarterly forecasting, ensuring that any potential volume surges are proactively addressed and resourced appropriately and shifts in plans are communicated to all impacted functions

· Conduct frequent and ongoing collaboration with the Marketing teams to proactively plan and approve content timelines and track adherence to the approved plan, especially for key events such as NSM, POAs, congresses, etc.

· Scan market and develop skills and expertise on emerging content review concepts and promotional tactics for assigned pod(s), inclusive of system refresh and relaunch (Veeva)

· Management of contracted MLR Coordinator to ensure the following tasks are performed properly agenda finalization for content review pod meetings, reconciliation of reviewer comments, chairing each live review meeting by leading discussion of the content, documentation of decision(s), publication of meeting minutes, and proactive outreach to the Head of the Marketing Operations with escalation requests

· Accountable for helping to develop and deliver of training programs for TA pod stakeholders and review teams, inclusive of agency partners

Qualifications

Required Skills
· Minimum of 5 years pharmaceutical/biotech experience with 3+ years of promotional material review, or relevant pharma/biotech agency work experience
· Strong understanding of high quality promotional pharmaceutical content
· Strategic understanding of market trends, implications, and evolution of the content approval process
· Strong interpersonal skills with experience in conflict management and negotiation, as well as strong oral and written communication skills 
· Ability to work with urgency and prioritize across multiple tasks required
· Demonstrated ability to influence without authority
· Demonstrated experience in developing and reporting on business metrics and KPIs required
· Prior experience with Veeva Vault PromoMats platform including metrics and business reporting required
· Bachelor’s Degree (BA/BS) from a four-year college or university · 
Preferred post-graduate degree that is relevant to the Biotech industry and / or Commercial / Marketing Operations

Preferred Skills
· Prior team leadership experience preferred; cross-functional team leadership preferred
