About This Role
In this role, you will collect and consolidate all supply requirements from Network Planning consisting of Clinical Drug Supply, Commercial Supply Chain Planning, and all Corporate Partnership requirements to create optimized supply plans. Production plans will be optimized for various critical factors, such as, allocation strategy, inventory strategy, equipment capabilities, regulatory requirements and implications, and financial impacts. You will monitor and track key KPIs for site supply chain such as production plan adherence, factory capacity and utilization and schedule change variability. You will implement tools for scenario planning, modeling, and integrated reporting to streamline ways of working across end-to-end planning.

What You'll Do
- Develop site production plans for internal Biogen drug substance and drug product manufacturing network, including Biogen clinical and commercial products, and corporate partners’ clinical and commercial production, through scenario planning and cross-functional integration to determine optimal plan.
- Support creation and maintenance of the rolling 2-5 year rough cut capacity plans for the site.
- Partner with Network Planning to create allocation plans through scenario analysis to optimize manufacturing utilization and revenue, ensure reliable and timely supply and business continuity, while balancing the requirements of equipment capabilities, materials, regulatory implications, site resources, productivity, scale-up, success rates, thaw rates, process and equipment constraints, site and process readiness, quality targets, and financial implications (including tax).
- Evaluate manufacturing operations scenarios by supporting internal collaboration and alignment of all impacted groups through strong cross functional integration with site managers.
- Serve as a key liaison between the site and Network Planning for supply requirement review and response and capacity planning, as well as for site supply chain for coordinating with site and global functions.
- Support Engineering and Manufacturing organizations with business case evaluations for continuous throughput improvements, capacity optimization projects, and other opportunistic events.
- Monitor and track key KPIs for site supply chain such as production plan adherence, factory capacity and utilization and schedule change variability and other site supply chain metrics.
Qualifications
Required Skills
- Bachelor’s degree of Life Sciences or Engineering in addition to minimum 5 years of industry (GMP pharmaceutical/biotech) related experience OR
- Associates degree in addition to minimum 7 years of industry experience OR
- High School Diploma or equivalent in addition to minimum 7 years of industry experience
- Large molecule production planning experience in a GMP pharmaceutical/biotech environment
- Ability to plan for a 12-18 month production schedule
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills
- Ability to integrate information across internal and external functions and varying organizational levels (Network Integrator)
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels and present complex and/or new ideas with clarity and simplicity.
- Must be customer focused and able to deal with ambiguity and frequent change
- Independent worker with minimal supervision
- Ability to collate, analyze, interpret, and present data
