For our office in Munich (in a hybrid working model) we are recruiting for a
Sr Manager, Social Media & Innovative Channels (f/m/d) via Third-party Provider (ANÜ)
as temporary employment via third-party provider
- Continuously expands and enhances Biogen’s expertise in effective use of social media and other digital channels, in a fast-moving environment. As an expert in social media, supports developing specific competencies and fostering expertise across the organization.
- Develops and implements Biogen’s social media strategy & plan, in line with Biogen’s communication goals. Aligns with internal stakeholders at Local, Regional and Global levels to ensure consistency.
- Ensures a professional presence and consistent social media communications of Biogen news to external stakeholders, in line with Biogen´s positioning and our vision, mission and values. Establishes clear measures of success, continuously evaluates and strives to further enhance and evolve our presence.
- Develops digital content/assets for communication, in line with Biogen’ external communications plan.
- Shapes & adapts Biogen’s external messaging for optimal fit in social media & other innovative digital channels.
- Closely collaborates with internal stakeholders and acts as enabler for effective use of social media and other innovative channels, to achieve the respective communication goals.
- Ensures compliance with Global communication strategy, Legal, Compliance and Regulatory frameworks. Designs, implements, and maintains appropriate governance and process frameworks to ensure agility while complying with regulations.
- Liaises with Global communication teams for optimal alignment, best practices, and synergies through effective collaboration.
- Professionally manages third parties (such as agencies or technology providers) and diligently manages operational expenses.

- Bachelor’s Degree; educational specialization is flexible depending on professional experience.
- Min. 7 – 10 years of professional experience in equivalent roles within the Pharma/Biotech industry or within a PR agency assigned with Pharma/Biotech accounts.
- Strong Social Media expertise and digital affinity with the knowledge of how the channels work and the skills to use the right wording for the right posts.
- Excellent working knowledge of media, ability to communicate with media partners, employees, influencers, agencies and other stakeholders.
- A proven ability to formulate and articulate clear messages about complex and sometimes highly technical subjects.
- Proven project management/leadership skills.
- Excellent writing skills; Moreover, ability to create precise press releases as well as unique blog and newsletter content.
- Ability to manage media contacts, coordinate interviews, contact journalists, getting in touch with relevant people in the media landscape.
- Good knowledge of Sharepoint, Microsoft Office 365 and content management.
- Demonstrated flexibility to multi-task, prioritize and manage time.
- Good sense of responsibility and accountability.
- Fluency in German and excellent command of the English language (both written and spoken).
