About This Role

The Senior Manager, Digital Insights & Analytics is responsible for driving US business performance via digital marketing insights & analytics. The role will measure and analyze digital data (e.g. CRM streams, paid media, and website data) to assess promotional effectiveness, support optimization efforts, and make data-driven recommendations. The individual will partner closely with US Marketing, US AA&O, and creative agencies to develop data-driven insights and analysis. The scope of this role is patient and healthcare professional digital insights, across all Biogen brands in the US.

What You’ll Do

  • Deliver data-driven insights to proactively inform strategic and tactical decision making across all channels within Biogen’s digital ecosystem
  • Efficient analytical problem-solving skills with the ability to quickly scope and deliver on an analytical ask and to work iteratively to refine a solution as needed
  • Collaborates with marketing product managers, AA&O team members, various other BIIB teams, and agency partners to understand key business questions and marketing objectives
  • Manages digital analytics, insight generation, and media strategy across all digital channels
  • Supports the definition and reporting against KPIs for marketing campaigns.
  • Provide recommendations to US brand managers on paid media identifying channel and creative optimization
  • Demonstrated strategic thinker that brings thought leadership and guidance toward developing digital campaigns that support the customer lifecycle
  • This work involves personally initiating and conducting analyses, collaborating with the internal AA&O team to conduct analyses, and agency partners in performing analyses to support monthly, quarterly, and ad-hoc deliverables.
  • Partner with AA&O Operations and third-party vendors/agencies to define digital measurement strategy. Ensure the necessary data will be available at the right level to enable evaluation and optimization of marketing programs

Qualifications

Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree required/Master’s preferred
  • Minimum 7 years of experience working in a digital marketing analytics role with expertise in Adobe Analytics and ad serving platforms
  • Depth of experience with digital media analytics, website analytics, and digital media strategy required. Must be able to leverage digital data to inform and guide media and digital marketing strategy
  • Depth of experience with digital measurement approaches required
  • Depth of experience supporting strategy and analytics for major digital marketing channels (e.g. CTV, display, search, social, and website) required
  • Knowledge of and experience with offline marketing and CRM (e.g. direct mail, print, email)
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skill set, including knowledge of advanced statistical modeling approaches
  • In addition to a strong record of analytic and quantitative work, successful candidates will also have broadly applicable consulting skills: strong oral and written communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences; ability to synthesize information into a logically structured PowerPoint deliverable; close attention to detail, with a quality-focused mindset; aptitude for, and enjoyment of, working in teams
  • Robust project management and cross-functional coordination skills
  • Familiarity with data warehouse mining/reporting and data manipulation tools (e.g. SQL, SAS, R, Power BI, Tableau)
  • High intellectual curiosity, that can proactively identify and lead analyses that yield actionable insights
  • Excellent strategic thinking capabilities with the expertise to synthesize large amounts of information and logically structure PowerPoint deliverables
  • Strong communication skills
  • Driven, highly self-motivated, confident, high-energy, bright, and creative individual with the desire and ability to own a high-profile part of the business
  • Strong computer aptitude and ability to learn systems quickly

Preferred Skills:

  • Biotech/pharma experience preferred, but not required
