About This Role:
As the Senior Market Access Manager, Belgium,  you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing market access strategies for a leading biotechnology portfolio, focusing on Biogen products and pipeline products. This role will be reporting to the Associate Director of Value & Access and External Affairs, your mission will be to optimize strategic pricing, manage product lifecycle, and prepare compelling reimbursement strategies for groundbreaking therapies. You will be instrumental in monitoring healthcare policy developments and market trends, ensuring that opportunities are maximized and risks mitigated. Your strategic insights and advice will influence company decisions. In this role, you are expected to thrive amidst ambiguity, prioritize efficiently, and bring simplicity to complex issues, contributing significantly to the company's growth and patient access to essential medications.

What You’ll Do:

  • Collaborate with the Head of Value & Access and Corporate Affairs to co-draft and implement market access strategies for both current and pipeline products.
  • Serve as the market access business partner for the portfolio, working closely with cross-functional teams including Commercial, Medical, and Finance.
  • Maintain compliance by coordinating with Legal, Compliance, and Regulatory departments.
  • Align with international counterparts to ensure global consistency in access strategies.
  • Manage strategic pricing, including biannual price revisions and tender strategy execution.
  • Facilitate life-cycle management of existing products and develop local pricing and reimbursement strategies.
  • Lead the drafting and execution of pricing and reimbursement submissions for new products and indications.
  • Adapt economic models with international colleagues to articulate product value to payers.
  • Conduct horizon scanning and translate findings into strategic business input.
  • Develop negotiation strategies and pathways.
  • Monitor national healthcare policies, stakeholder needs, and market movements to identify risks and opportunities.
  • Participate in industry association working groups as relevant.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as business needs evolve.

You are a creative and strategic thinker with a proven track record of navigating complex market access landscapes. You cultivate a robust network within the healthcare payer community and have a knack for turning intricate matters into clear, actionable strategies. As a result-oriented professional, you're always exploring innovative solutions and can independently drive projects to completion. Your communication skills are impeccable, allowing you to articulate and influence both internally and externally. You embrace challenges, are adept at learning, and can navigate uncertain environments with poise.

Qualifications

Required Skills:
• University degree, preferably in (Health) Economics, Biosciences, Pharmacy, or a related field.
• At least 3-5 years of experience in a Market Access function.
• Direct interaction experience with local payers at various levels.
• Successful track record in health technology assessment (HTA) and payer negotiations.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex market access dossiers with inventive problem-solving.
• Experience in launching products in new therapeutic areas (preferred).
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
• Exceptional communication skills, with an ability to present complex issues clearly.
• Established relationships with external stakeholders in the healthcare field.
• Knowledge of Belux healthcare legislation and the pharmaceutical market.
• Team player with the ability to work cross-functionally.
• High degree of learning agility.
• Comfortable working in ambiguous situations.
• Proficiency in Dutch or French and English.
