About This Role
Step into a pivotal role where you’ll ensure the smooth operation of our critical plant systems, focusing primarily on HVAC and electrical systems. As the trusted expert, you’ll tackle complex issues with utility equipment, providing swift troubleshooting and solutions to keep our facility running at peak efficiency. You’ll take ownership of overseeing repairs and preventive maintenance (PM) execution, ensuring all tasks are completed to the highest standards. Additionally, you’ll respond to alarms in GMP areas and controlled spaces, acting as the subject matter expert (SME) for one or more key utility systems. What You'll Do
- Operates all utility systems that supply manufacturing. Trains others as needed on operation and maintenance of utility systems and serves as system expert.
- Maintains utility systems and responds to critical alarms. Logs readings on various plant equipment systems and investigates when alarms occur.
- Monitors utility systems through the BMS and ParCS control systems.
- Conducts tours through the mechanical spaces to ensure no adverse events have occurred.
Who You Are
We are looking for a safety-conscious, detail-oriented technician with hands-on experience in large industrial or utility plant environments. You have a strong understanding of utility systems, mechanical principles, and control systems, with the ability to troubleshoot and maintain complex equipment. They should be comfortable working in shifts.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma with five (5) years of prior industry experience, or an Associate of Arts degree with three (3) years of experience, or a Bachelor’s Degree with one (1) year of experience.
- Solid experience in an industrial or similar large utility plant environment, supporting multiple large systems. Specific equipment and system expertise related to on-site facility systems is required.
- Strong understanding of utility systems and mechanical principles.
- Safety-conscious with an understanding of various system safety controls and general industrial safety practices.
- Understanding of control systems and CMMS.
- Good oral and written communication skills, with the ability to present information in front of a group.
- Ability to draft SOPs and author PMs on equipment.
- Ability to read engineering drawings.
- Ability to work under short timelines within a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to work rotating shifts, extended shifts, and/or weekends.
- Minimum B1 English level.
