As the Sales & Operations Lead for our Austrian affiliate, you will be the driving force behind our commercial field team, spearheading excellence and ensuring that our commercial initiatives resonate with the unique Austrian market. In this pivotal role, you'll provide guidance to our field team while ensuring that our strategies align with compliance and legal standards. Your insights into customer behavior and market intelligence will be instrumental in tailoring our marketing programs to meet local needs. You will be at the heart of our Austrian operations, contributing directly to the success of our business and making an impact for the patients we serve.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead and mentor the commercial field team in Austria, ensuring alignment with company values and goals.
  • In close collaboration with the cluster Commercial Head Switzerland/Austria, drive the execution of the cluster commercial strategies in Austria, adapting them as necessary to fit the Austrian healthcare landscape.
  • Ensure that all commercial initiatives are implemented in accordance with compliance, and legal frameworks.
  • Gather and analyze customer insights and market intelligence, collaborating with the brand team to ensure the appropriateness of marketing programs for the Austrian market.
  • Manage and lead commercial projects, maintaining a focus on the Austrian market's specific needs and opportunities.
  • Support the General Manager Switzerland/Austria in operational initiatives, taking the lead on projects that enhance the affiliate's effectiveness.
  • Serve as the primary operations contact for the Austrian affiliate, working closely with cross-functional teams to streamline operations.

Who You Are:
You are a strategic thinker, aiming to guide a team towards achieving excellence in a dynamic commercial environment. Your commitment to ensure flawless execution of strategic initiatives is combined with an in-depth understanding of the Austrian market and you use this knowledge to influence marketing strategies and to develop your team. You are comfortable wearing multiple hats, seamlessly transitioning between project management, strategic planning and execution.

Qualifications

  • University Degree in economics, natural sciences or medicine
  • Fluent in local language and fluent command of the English language
  • 7+ years of relevant experience in the pharmaceutical industry, resulting from commercial or medical roles in specialty care or rare diseases
  • At least two years of direct field experience in either medical or commercial context
  • Direct people management experience preferred, alternatively strong matrix management skills in a commercial or medical setting.

Minimum annual gross salary of 75.000,00 €, final salary depending on qualification and experience.
