Sales Lead, Biosimilars Germany (f/m/d)
About This Role
The Associate Director Sales (f/m/d) provides leadership and direction to the German retail sales force and close collaboration with the KAM team. This role is an essential part of the German Biosimilar leadership team and will drive the development of national Sales strategies with the Business Unit Director and other key functions. The effective tracking of pre-defined KPIs and the team´s performance as well as continual capabilities building will be integral to the future success of the Business Unit. In this constantly evolving arena, the Associate Director Sales will be tasked to maintain a dynamic working culture which continually motivates individuals to perform to the best of their ability and guides the team through the challenges of a constantly changing working environment.

What You’ll Do
- Achieving regional & national sales goals:
- Manage and supervise retail sales force and drive overall performance
- Ensure close alignment of KAM activities with national sales strategy to further drive sustainable growth
- Develop national sales strategies and assure strong execution of best-in-class Omnichannel customer engagements
- Establish goals and strategies for each territory for the sales forces in collaboration with supporting functions
- Assure close cooperation btw. retail sales representatives, retail District Managers (DMs) and with KAM Team towards strong team deliveries and local results
- Responsible for an effective and on-track use of assigned sales budget
- Define and track all relevant Sales KPIs (qualitative and quantitative), to constantly improve future omnichannel initiatives
- Set up incentive goals for each sales force territory in alignment with national goals and strategy in collaboration with Field Force Excellence
- Responsible for planning and execution of sales meetings/cycle meetings
- Developing staff and assembling effective teams:
- Leverage team members’ strengths and identify areas for development of individuals
- Provide coaching, feedback and advice that is separate from tactical support
- Ensure that each Account Manager (AM) and DM has an active development plan
- Establish an open and agile learning environment, to improve customer experience of Biosimilars Business Unit (BBU) representatives
- Prepare and present effective performance reviews
- Closely track implementation of goals and drive performances in the regions and territories across Germany
- Aligning between different functions for commercial success:
- As part of the German Biosimilar leadership team, develop national strategies with key functions and the Head of BBU Germany
- Work closely and effectively with core functions such as Marketing, Market Access and Medical for joint deliveries
- Lead assigned sales-driven or cross-functional projects that aim at further improving success of the field force
- Contribute expert understanding of competitive landscape to help shape future direction
- Organizational:
- Ensure compliance with Biogen regulations, SOPs, local laws and code of business conduct
- Set up aligned training concepts and ensure internal trainings

Qualifications
- University degree, MBA preferred
- Min. 8-10 years of pharmaceutical/health care sales / commercial experience
- Min. 3-5 years proven sales leadership experience in the German market is mandatory
- Experience with HCPs in retail and hospital environment
- Experience with hospital buying group, wholesaler and compounder negotiations preferred
- Anti TNF/Biologics and/or Biosimilars experience desirable
- Proven and sustained track record of reaching and exceeding sales goals
- Proven track record of international influencing and exposure in former roles preferred
- Fluent in German, ideally native speaker
- Proficiency in English required
