About This Role:
The Rare Disease Partner, Switzerland leads the strategic account planning and engagement with Rare Disease Centers of Excellence to achieve business goals and to strengthen our partnerships. The incumbent will contribute to enhances the patient journey through targeted initiatives and will collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders to maximize the impact of these initiatives.

What You’ll Do:

  • Drive strategic account planning and customer engagement planning process for Biogen`s neurological and neuromuscular rare disease assets to achieve or exceed patient targets per product for the given territory. This includes

  • assessing account situation, stakeholder priorities, approaches towards patient care, account-level needs and opportunities to collaborate and strengthen partnership with Biogen.
  • setting of specific and measurable objectives per account and design of appropriate actions.
  • Leverages cross-functional resources in alignment with respective internal partners.
  • Execute customer-specific omnichannel communication strategy based on key account objectives and tailored to the customer´s specific needs .
  • Generate business-relevant customer insights and identify growth opportunities at the different centers of excellence / key accounts in the market.
  • Plan and execute center readiness activities at centers of excellence / key accounts to enable fast and equitable access to Biogen`s rare disease products.
  • Continuously assess quality of the patient journey for a given therapeutic area in the territory, identify hurdles and inefficiencies and analyse/provide recommendations on how to address these to the cross-functional brand team.
  • Design and implement key initiatives to provide disease education and optimize patient pathways as part of a territory action plan.
  • Closely collaborate with team members in the given territory to enhance referral networks and increase disease awareness, understanding of differential diagnosis and urgency to treat.
  • Support Marketing and Medical teams to provide fit for purpose campaigns and educational material, reconciling strategic objectives with customer/market perspectives.
  • Actively provide relevant information and updates on competitive intelligence to relevant stakeholders
  • Close interaction with other affiliates to gain market experience and share insights/best practices.
  • Serve as project leader for defined cross-functional projects or key initiatives.

    Qualifications

    • Strong scientific background, with a University Masters degree in Science or Medicine.
    • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with a strong focus on Sales and Marketing, including at least 3 years of experience in rare disease indications
    • Excellent knowledge of Swiss healthcare system
    • Proven track record of strategic account and customer engagement planning
    • Experience in other functions, e.g. Medical/V&A are a plus
    • Strong drive for innovation, critical-thinking and problem-solving while focusing on delivering results
    • Experience to work in a matrix and collaborate with teams
    • Driver of innovation and digitally savvy
    • Fluency in German and English. Very good French/Italian desirable.
