About This Role

The Materials Management Coordinator plays a pivotal role in supporting cross-functional teams within the RTP Bio/Pharma environment, ensuring seamless coordination of inbound & outbound shipments, inventory management, and process improvements. This role collaborates with various departments, including Quality Sample Control, Biogen Logistics, Global Trade Management (GTM), and Materials Planning, to manage the shipment and storage of raw materials, drug substances, drug products, and cell banks. 

What You’ll Do

  • Collaborates with RTP (both sites) cross-functional teams including but not limited to: Quality Sample Control, Biogen Logistics, Global Trade Management Team (GTM), Materials Planning, Carriers for the coordination of all outbound RTP sample control, raw material, Drug Substance, Drug Product, cellbank shipments, to include invoices, packing slips, etc. required for shipment 
  • Monitors Syncade, Manufacturing Execution System (MES) Demand & Gathering reports and creates move orders to ensure material availability
  • Supports investigations from Materials Management processes 
  • Maintains current on all applicable department trainings, including DOT & IATA hazmat shipping 
  • Assists with Release / Close cycle counts – coordinating with Materials Management team on reconciliation
  • Coordinate the ordering of materials and supplies based on demand and inventory levels
  • Attends tech transfer meetings and reports out to Materials Management team requirements needed to support manufacturing
  • Ensures departments work orders are closed on-time 
  • Additional job duties as assigned

Required Skills

  • High School Diploma or equivalent plus minimum 4 years of experience working in materials management/logistics in a GMP or cGMP environment
  • OR Associate's Degree plus minimum 3 years of experience working in materials management/logistics in a GMP or cGMP environment
  • OR Bachelor's Degree plus minimum 2 years of experience working in materials management/logistics in a GMP or cGMP environment
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong organizational and communication skills

Preferred Skills

  • Experience using Oracle Executive Business Suite
