About This Role:
As a Materials Coordinator V in the Site Supply Chain function at Biogen's RTP Pharma site, you will be the beating heart of our GMP manufacturing area's materials management process. Your role is crucial, as you will act as the owner of the materials management process for Manufacturing, helping to ensure that our products are made with the highest quality and efficiency. Your day-to-day responsibilities will revolve around meticulous coordination of material orders, staging, batch kitting, transfers, reconciliation, and cycle counting. You will also identify and spearhead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance our materials management systems. As the representative of manufacturing in cross-functional groups and meetings, your insights and leadership will help streamline our operations and keep us at the forefront of the industry.

What You’ll Do:
- Act as the primary owner of the GMP materials management process for Manufacturing.
- Lead material order processing, staging, batch kitting, material transfer, reconciliation, and cycle counting activities.
- Represent manufacturing in cross-functional groups and meetings to align on materials management strategies.
- Work closely with Supply Chain functions to ensure accurate inventory levels and material forecasting.
- Establish and improve the materials management process for GMP manufacturing areas.
- Serve as the single point of contact for internal and external groups regarding manufacturing material needs and status.
- Drive cross-functional efforts to enhance manufacturing materials management and waste reduction.
- Own and advance continuous improvement efforts within the materials management domain.
- Develop, implement, and monitor KPIs related to materials management effectiveness.
- Communicate scheduling changes and provide comprehensive updates to planning groups as needed.
- Manage multiple projects/tasks and prioritize effectively to meet production timelines.

Qualifications
Required Skills:
- High School diploma plus minimum of 5 years of direct experience or Associates degree plus a minimum of 4.5-years direct industry experience or a Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline (preferred) plus 4 years of direct experience.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Skilled in developing and communicating schedules to various groups.
- Proficient in managing time across multiple projects/tasks and prioritizing effectively.
- Expertise in complex problem-solving and making informed recommendations.
- Strong knowledge of the job’s detailed aspects and their practical applications.
- Proficient in applying job skills and company policies to complete complex tasks.
- Demonstrated ability in time management and prioritizing responsibilities.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in leading cross-functional teams for continuous process improvement.
- Proven track record of developing and maintaining KPIs.
Additional Information
The base salary range for this position is $32.69 - 42.31 per hour. Base salary offered is determined through an analytical approach utilizing a combination of factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills & experience, job location, and internal equity.
