Position Description

Join our dynamic team of scientists this summer as an intern focused on cutting-edge research in neuroscience! You'll contribute to our structure-based drug design efforts by assisting in determining the 3D structures of protein complexes. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience with state-of-the-art biophysical and structural techniques, including cryo-EM and X-ray crystallography. You'll play a vital role in our fast-paced, innovative environment as we tackle unmet medical needs. The successful candidate will show experience in the following areas: 

  • Experience with cryo-EM and/or X-ray crystallography
  • Familiarity with structural biology software (e.g., PyMOL, Coot)
  • Interest in learning methods in protein engineering
  • Be responsible, organized, and possess strong attention to detail
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

To participate in the Biogen Summer Intern Program, students must meet the following eligibility criteria:

  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
  • At least 18 years of age prior to the scheduled start date
  • Be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university

Education

Current graduate students pursuing Master's or Ph.D. degree in Biophysics, Biochemistry or related discipline interested in 3-month long industry internship.
