Intern, Material Management & Supply Chain

Job Description

This application is for a 12-week internship role from June - August 2025. Resume review begins in January 2025. 

Position Description 

Biogen is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented college intern to support the Material Management and Supply Chain function. This internship provides an exciting opportunity to work on a project aimed at assessing our current inventory of materials stored in recycle-containers, evaluating their alignment with process needs, and conceiving of new processes to manage these materials and to improve efficiency and sustainability. 

Example projects may include: 

• Assess materials in recycle-containers and analyze their relevance to current manufacturing processes 
• Employ Excel and data analysis skills to organize, track, and evaluate material inventory data. 
• Present findings and recommendations to management, providing insights on how to optimize material handling processes. 

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a life Science degree or related field 
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel with strong data analysis capabilities. 
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills. 
• Excellent organizational and communication skills. 
• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment 
• Prior experience or coursework related to material management, supply chain, or manufacturing. 

To participate in the Biogen Internship Program, students must meet the following eligibility criteria: 

• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. 
• At least 18 years of age prior to the scheduled start date 
• Be currently enrolled in an accredited community college, college or university 

Education 

• Currently pursuing a Bachelors or Master's Degree

• This role is on-site in Research Triangle Park, NC
