Global Clinical Operations (GCO) is part of the organization in R&D. GCO supports by providing expert operational delivery on our R&D clinical pipeline (phases 1-4*). GCO is a key member of the Project Team (PT) and leads the Study Management Teams (SMT). Position Description

This fellowship offers an experiential learning opportunity that includes exposure to the Biotechnology industry, access to subject matter experts, and project-based work to advance our organizational mission in developing more equitable healthcare experiences for all patients.  The position requires familiarity with the healthcare experience of underrepresented and/or underserved communities in the US.  The individual will be expected to work collaboratively with team members and groups within Research & Development.  The project will focus on initiatives led by Global Clinical Operations to advance health equity and diversity in clinical trials.  Examples may include:

  • Study and site feasibility projects leveraging real world data sets with a focus on identification of regions and sites as well as enrollment modelling to support clinical trial diversity goals
  • FDA Clinical Trial Diversity Plans: support in development of program and study diversity plans
  • Planning and execution of community engagement and awareness programs in high priority disease areas

Qualifications

  • Excellent analytical/problem-solving skills
  • Background knowledge about biological science/medical science
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail

To participate in the Biogen Internship Program, students must meet the following eligibility criteria:

  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
  • At least 18 years of age prior to the scheduled start date
  • Be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university

Education

Biogen is seeking students pursuing a graduate degree (Masters, MD or PhD degrees) who will work on our health equity efforts during the summer of 2025
