This application is for a 12-week internship role from June - August 2025. Resume review begins in January 2025.
The Drug Substance Upstream Pilot Development team is involved in the scale-up, facility fit, and technology transfer of Biogen’s antibody drugs. The team employs engineering principles to ensure that each new cell culture processes are successfully reproducible when scaling up from 3L to 15,000+L bioreactors. The Upstream Pilot Scale team successfully generates cell culture material containing therapeutic proteins that are used in various studies throughout Biogen’s Technical Development Department during the clinical and commercial development of an antibody drug. The Upstream Pilot Lab also serves as a space for evaluating new technologies for feasibility and potential benefits for large-scale GMP manufacturing.
