About the role

Location: Baar, Switzerland as per our local hybrid working policy

This role reports to the Global Head, Product Lifecycle Mgmt. 

  • You lead and drive global product launches into new markets. Partnership with Asset Leaders is essential to ensure commercial product readiness is initiated at the correct time.
  • Develop and ensure execution against detailed project plans, SKU Rationalization decision, Supply & Manufacturing Readiness.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams including Value & Access, Quality, Supply Chain, Distributors & Affiliates and manufacturing to ensure seamless execution of product launches.
  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation plans to ensure project milestones are met.
  • Seek opportunity and agreement on Market Launch Acceleration where feasible. Streamline processes and remove obstacles to bring products to market faster.
  • Utilize strong business and financial acumen to optimize the P&L process for product launch decision making and outcomes. Analyze financial data & forecasts to make informed decisions that enhance profitability and efficiency.
  • Demonstrate comfort with ambiguity and the ability to adapt and refocus the cross-functional launch team in new or changing circumstances.
  • Develop and implement robust Plan B strategies to mitigate risks, fostering a questioning attitude to proactively identify and address potential issues.
  • Understand and drive entity flow of goods process for new product launches.
  • Lead efforts to ensure pre-approval patient access supply (commercial or clinical) is available and plan is communicated. Ensure that these plans are aligned with overall Launch Strategy (Which pack; impact to re-supply of markets; flow-of-entity).
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all Product Launch Related activities.T

What you'll do

1. Lead Product Launch and drive product launch activities across functional business teams to meet the product & market launch strategy (Value & Access, Finance, S&OP,  Manufacturing, Global Supply Chain & Quality).

2. Accountable for generating a robust and agreed launch plan for new product introduction and lifecycle launch using aligned upon financial, supply contingent and overall business strategy.

3  Develop and execute the supply and legal entity flow plan against agreed pre-approval patient programs to ensure early access requirements are met for patients.

4. Ensure that identified continuous improvement opportunities are embedded into stage-gate processes. Work closely with key business partners in Regulatory; Supply Chain; Commercial; ADPM to establish clear processes and deliverables.

5.  Report milestones per stage gate in a consistent manner to meet the Launch objectives and metrics

Qualifications

  • Bachelor or Master Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering or similar education required
  • APICS certification (or equivalent working experience) is preferred
  • Lean Six Sigma/Green Belt is preferred
  • Minimum 8 years working experience in a Supply Chain Planning  or BD role , Commercial Business or Finance role with a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar position in the Biotech/Pharmaceutical industry
  • People leadership experience and/or Cross Functional Project Management experience is essential
  • Experience within an international and controlled environment is required
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and communication skills (excellent written and verbal communicator with the ability to articulate recommendations and key decision points to senior management)
  • Demonstrated experience reducing complex subjects to key points.
  • Ability to work in fast paced environments and great organizational skills to effectively balance a broad range of projects and tasks in parallel
  • Able to deal with high levels of ambiguity and complexity. Anticipates potential risks, develops corresponding contingency plans, and is capable of acting proactively in order to support strategic and/or complex decisions.
  • Exceptional team player (ability to direct and participate in cross functional and management teams). Ability to develop a strong network across the company.
  • Strong influencing and negotiation skills to attain buy-in from different stakeholders and decision makers
  • Project Management experience and ability to work in cross-functional teams
  • Experience with Supply Chain and Manufacturing planning tools, preferably:
  • Oracle, Hyperion, Business Object, TrackWise, Smartsheets
