About This Role
The Global Forecasting Lead - Nephrology will oversees and delivers on the Forecasting process and operation, driving accurate predictions and providing valuable insights for strategic planning and resource allocation across all multiple indications. S/he is a strategic thought partner to the PDC senior stakeholders to develop and drive short- and long-term strategic planning, ensuring fundamental market dynamics are well understood and reflected, facilitating the discussion and decision process for key assumptions with Global and Regional leadership. The role requires strong analytical skills, leadership abilities, and a deep understanding of global market trends.

Forecasting Process & Strategic Partnership
- Develop and drive the short- and long-term planning predominantly for PDCs, including presenting recommendations to Senior/Executive Leadership, proactively and reactively developing business case scenarios, and ensuring alignment on core assumptions based on insights.
- Engage as a thought partner in facilitating a thorough understanding of business performance and opportunities and recommending insights-based decisions.
- Conduct scenario planning exercises to anticipate potential changes in market conditions and develop strategies to address various scenarios.
- Evaluate potential risks and uncertainties affecting forecasting accuracy and work on mitigating strategies.
- Utilize advanced statistical methods and forecasting models based on Epidemiology or other relevant data to analyze historical info, market trends, and external factors influencing demand.
- Identifies and raises critical issues.
- Proactively set the direction, drive, and strengthen the forecasting process in partnership with PDC and IT, applying efficient methodologies using the latest technology to drive robust operation.
Driving capabilities and continuous improvement
- Assess and implement advanced forecasting technologies and tools to improve the precision and timeliness of predictions.
- Lead the Forecasting model creation, maintenance, and evolution, including providing training to countries’ teams for effective use.
- Act as a Project Leader or Project Manager in TA or Functional critical projects.
- Foster experience exchange and learning loops through internal community engagement, creating opportunities to nurture and support new ideas and showcase best practices and market trends.

Qualifications
- BA/BS required
- 10+ years strategic consulting experience in Pharma / Biotech / Medical Device industry or relevant experience
- Prior experience in a global strategic forecasting role, in-market categories, nephrology experience preferred
- Strong business acumen & communication skills and ability to work with and present to senior executives
- Great strategic problem-solving skills, leading structured thinking around complex problems to enable data-driven decision-making
- Experience in global markets; understanding of local market dynamics and data sources
- Highly collaborative; must be able to navigate, manage the needs and drive effective partnerships with individuals and teams across the organization.
Preferred Skills
- MBA/MS/PhD in Life Sciences, Bioengineering, Engineering, Mathematics or Statistics
- Knowledge and proficiency in forecast modeling platforms and tools. Excel proficiency is required. Previous use of patient flow or related complex models.
- Curiosity about how to leverage innovative technologies for forecasting
- Experience using secondary data
- Experience managing competitive intelligence or market research projects
