Job Description

This application is for a 6-month student role from July - December 2025. Resume review begins in January 2025.

You will be a part of the Global HR Governance team, which sits within the Talent & Employee Experience organization. In this role, you will contribute to aligning HR practices with global laws and organizational objectives while enhancing the employee experience. You will play an integral part in the administration of our HR governance program and contribute to impactful projects and process improvement initiatives.

Position description

As a co-op, you will:

  • Support HR governance-related projects, identifying opportunities for improvement and exploring technical solutions to enhance program effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with a global network of HR professionals, including HR Business Partners, Legal, Compensation, HR Systems (HRDI), People Relations, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DE&I), Talent Acquisition (TA) teams.
  • Provide operational support to the HR compliance program as needed.
  • Collaborate on cross-functional initiatives to improve HR processes and the overall employee experience.

Example of projects may include:

  • Assist in creating and managing a company-wide job description repository.
  • Support the development and revision of HR policies to ensure compliance and alignment with global regulations.
  • Conduct audits in key HR areas to verify adherence to regulations and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Partner with TA and DE&I teams to ensure process alignment with OFCCP requirements.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience coordinating projects or working with multiple stakeholders
  • Self-starter with a proactive mindset and strong organizational skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage confidential information with the utmost discretion
  • Effective time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Interest in learning and developing expertise in HR compliance.

To participate in the Biogen Internship Program, students must meet the following eligibility criteria:

  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
  • At least 18 years of age prior to the scheduled start date
  • Be currently enrolled in an accredited community college, college or university

Education

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Compliance, Business, or a related field
