At Biogen, the Materials Planning Team ensures supply for Manufacturing and Technical Development activities. Part of this work includes maintaining clean data in Biogen systems. The ideal candidate will work with the Materials Planning Team to evaluate legacy data sets for cleanup activities and offer suggestions for which data sets should be obsoleted.
This role will offer visibility into the systems used to plan complex biologic products and provide experience navigating within said systems. Working with Materials Planning will provide opportunities for cross-functional collaboration with Procurement, Technical Development, Quality Control, and other teams across Biogen. The Co-op will gain experience in planning systems, understanding of the balance of holding appropriate inventory without incurring unnecessary E&O, and how clean data is critical to all Materials Planning activities.

Position Description
Detailed description of role including but not limited to:
- Work under the supervision of a Biogen RTP-Bio Materials Planner.
- Working within PLM and Oracle EBS systems to identify candidates for data cleanup.
- Evaluate material requests from Technical Development to identify what can be sent to support development work.
- Deliverable is a report on all findings for data obsoletion / updates.
Example projects may include:
- Evaluation of data sets in the Biogen Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system.
- Technical Development material request evaluation for RTP-Bio and Cambridge sites and BOM cleanup.
Qualifications

- Attention to detail is critical for data evaluation and recommendations.
- Proficient in MS office programs.
To participate in the Biogen Internship Program, students must meet the following eligibility criteria:
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
- At least 18 years of age prior to the scheduled start date
- Be currently enrolled in an accredited community college, college or university
Education
- Completed at least two years of undergraduate studies prior to scheduled start date.
- Candidate must be pursuing a BS degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related disciplines.
