About This Role
Biogen’s Drug Metabolism and Pharmacokinetics (DMPK) department is seeking a highly motivated scientist with knowledge and experience in qPCR and/or ligand binding assays (LBA) assays to join our bioanalytical group. The candidate will be responsible for bioanalytical support of discovery programs, including gene therapy medicinal product (GTMP) and biologics (e.g., antibodies). The candidate should be able to effectively manage and prioritize multiple projects to ensure timely support of the projects. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required, along with scientific thinking and problem-solving skills.
What You’ll Do
- Develop new bioanalytical methods for quantification of biologics and GTMP in biological matrices by qPCR, ddPCR, LBA, or other pertinent-platform technologies.
- Analyze biological samples (serum/plasma, CSF, tissue etc.) and timely deliver high quality bioanalytical data to support non-GLP studies.
- Document the experiments and results in Electronic Lab Notebooks.
- Participate and present results in cross-functional project teams.
- Write and review study protocols and bioanalytical reports.
- Manage multiple projects within timelines according to high scientific and ethical standards.
- Present scientific findings at internal or external scientific meetings.

Qualifications
Required Skills
- BS in molecular biology, biochemistry, analytical chemistry, or related discipline with 0-2 years relevant experience.
- Basic lab skills including pipetting, handling of animal specimens and operation of common software (Microsoft Word, Excel etc.).
- Hands-on experience with qPCR, ddPCR, and DNA/RNA analysis.
- Knowledge and experience with LBA bioanalysis (e.g., ELISA and MSD assays) of biologics.
- Strong learning capabilities and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, as well as in a team setting.
