Job Description
The Associate Director, Commerical Data Program Management will be responsible for driving large-scale, cross-functional data programs that enable enterprise data transformation, commercial insights, and AI readiness. This role will oversee data strategy execution, governance, and program delivery to ensure the organization has a scalable, trusted, and actionable data foundation. The individual will collaborate with business stakeholders, data teams, and IT partners to streamline data operations, and make sure the right data is available for the business.

- Oversee end-to-end program execution, including requirements gathering, solution design, delivery, and adoption.
- Collaborate with IT and business teams to establish scalable data models that support advanced analytics and AI.
- Ensure data programs enable faster, automated, and self-service reporting capabilities.

- Partner with data governance teams to establish business rules, standards, and data stewardship processes.
- Oversee the implementation of data quality frameworks to ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness.
- Collaborate with compliance and legal teams to enforce data privacy and security policies.
- Define and track data quality KPIs to measure program effectiveness.
- Oversee the integration of external data (IQVIA, Symphony, claims) with internal commercial data assets.
- Drive the standardization of commercial datasets for consistency across brands and regions.
- Develop and manage program plans, timelines, and budgets.
- Oversee vendor partnerships and external data providers, ensuring delivery and contract compliance.

Qualifications
Required Skills
- 7+ years of experience in data management, data programs, or commercial analytics in the pharma industry.
- 5+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare sectors, with extensive knowledge of, and expertise with, common external sources of pharmaceutical data including sales, claims, HCP/customer, hospital, etc.
- Must have at least 4 years of hands-on experience working with US commercial datasets (IQVIA, DDD, XPO, Claims, Specialty Pharmacy)
- Expertise in data governance, data quality, and commercial data ecosystems (HCP, HCO, claims, Rx data).
- Strong understanding of pharma commercial operations and data needs (e.g., field insights, sales analytics).
- Experience with data platforms, cloud architecture (Snowflake, Azure), and BI tools (Power BI, Tableau).
- Proficiency in data integration, MDM, and ETL processes.
- Strong program management skills, including managing timelines, budgets, and vendor relationships.
- Excellent communication and executive presentation skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree, with advanced degree preferred, in a relevant field such as Data Science, Computer Science, Operations Research, or Science-related field.
- 7-8 years of demonstrated experience in Data Strategy, Data Analytics or Data Management, with a proven track record of strategic planning and operational execution.
- Familiarity with databases/data warehouses (Oracle/Snowflake), CRM systems (Veeva/Salesforce), reporting/query tools (SQL, Tableau/Power BI), project planning, agile methodologies and performance metrics and reporting.
- Experience with data governance, data stewardship, and managing data vendors.
Proven leadership and team management skills along with strong relationship-building and cross-functional collaboration to ensure high levels of customer service, team engagement, career development and a consultative, problem-solving mindset.
