Summary
The Sales Representative will develop and grow sales of all vascular products within assigned accounts (hospitals/clinics) by providing education on clinical effectiveness and economic value to customers who use or influence the use of our products. The Sales Rep will also work with existing customers to help identify and solve problems related to product usage through face-to-face interactions at point of care. This position will be responsible for growing sales in targeted accounts and achieving profitability within those accounts. The Sales Rep will also be responsible for driving adoption of new products and new indications for use.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a strategy to maximize sales potential within each account based on market trends, competitive landscape, customer insights and internal resources.
  • Maintain high level knowledge of the entire product line as well as market trends and emerging technologies.
  • Actively engage in selling and promoting BD PV products through face-to-face interactions at point of care.
  • Work closely with Sales Support Specialists and other members of the sales team to drive revenue growth and maximize sales potential.
  • Provide education on clinical effectiveness and economic value to customers who use or influence the use of our products.
  • Identify and communicate opportunities to sell additional products and services within each account.
  • Build strong relationships with key decision makers and influencers within each account.
  • Assist customers in solving problems related to product usage.
  • Work collaboratively with peers and leadership to share best practices and drive continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulations and guidelines regarding sales and marketing activities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required; master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum three years of relevant experience required.
  • Strong understanding of medical devices and the vascular access market.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to build strong relationships with customers and colleagues.
  • Demonstrated success in a sales role in the medical device industry.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to maintain a positive attitude in a challenging environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Valid driver's license required with no restrictions.
  • Willingness to travel frequently (more than 75%) throughout territory.
