Under supervision of Maintenance Supervisor (as applicable) the Tooling Technician is responsible for maintaining tooling (molds, sealing dies/perforation, component plates, several pieces of machines), and fixtures used in the manufacturing process of the unit business. Actively participates in SMED and TPM teams. Participates in Kaizen events or Lean Manufacturing Projects.

Job Responsibilities:(Primary Duties, Roles, and/or Authorities)
- Maintenance and daily verification of sealing tools.
- Inventory control of current tooling.
- Tooling manufacturing requirement for replacement per damage or wear.
- Keep history record of damaged dies and common cause analysis.
- Keep down time history record due to missing tool and actions to eliminate them.
- Involves in quality issues regarding the tooling.
- Follow up repairs and/or tooling manufacturing in machine shop (response time).
- Installs and evaluates repairs, performs preventive maintenance in the SBU regarding the tooling and fixtures.
- Maintains work area and equipment clean and orderly and follows the safety rules. Performs 5 S's.
- Responsible for the identification and order of the proper tooling to assure that all needed is on hand as soon as need it.
- Maintain MIN/MAX program with spare parts or pieces regarding the tooling.
- Supports Mechanics in the maintenance tasks of machines/equipment in mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic areas and under the supervision of Mechanics and/or Maintenance Supervisors and in turn also supports electrical and electronic energy tasks.
- Education and Experience:
3rd grade high school or equivalent, 5th grade professional, Engineering preferably.
At least 3 years, or equivalent experience in machinery and tooling preferably (lathe workshop and welding).
Read and interpret tool drawings or spare parts. - Language Skills: beginner
