Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Technical Solutions Consultant in Pharmacy Automation. The primary responsibility of this role is to assist customers in planning, configuring, and optimizing pharmacy central fill automation solutions. This consultant will engage with customers throughout the entire customer lifecycle, from the pre-sale phase to post-implementation support, ensuring a seamless and effective integration of our automation systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SQL, pharmacy automation, outpatient pharmacy operations and technical consulting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the sales team to understand customer needs and requirements.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance during the proposal and solution design phases.
- Assist in the development of customized automation solutions tailored to specific customer workflows.
- Conduct on-site assessments and feasibility studies to evaluate the suitability of proposed solutions.
- Support the maintenance and troubleshooting of interfaces between pharmacy automation systems and other healthcare applications.
- Support integration of pharmacy automation systems with electronic health records (EHR) and other healthcare software.
- Maintain detailed documentation of interface configurations, processes, and troubleshooting steps.
- Partners with Central Fill Sales Engineers, SDS, R&D, and platform teams to ensure successful customer implementations, service, and support.
- Conduct regular check-ins and follow-up visits to assess system performance and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Pharmacy, or a related field.
- Must possess and maintain a valid state-issued license driver's license with 3 years of consecutive driving history and meet BD's auto safety standards
- Up to 75% travel required, including nights and some weekends
Experience:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a technical role within the healthcare or pharmacy industry.
Skills:
- Strong technical acumen and familiarity with pharmacy central fill automation systems.
- Proficiency in SQL and database management.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
