Job Description Summary
The Field Action Remediation Senior Project Manager will support the Solution Deployment Services (SDS) organization within the Medication Management Solutions (MMS) Business Unit by leading field action remediation for ES accelerated upgrades. The project manager will partner with other members of the remediation team to complete remediation projects on schedule and on budget, while ensuring all activities are compliant with applicable industry regulations. In addition, the project manager will identify and drive field action process improvement opportunities.
The Senior Project Manager will lead a remediation team comprised of resources across SDS and be responsible for developing the project plan for each remediation project. These project plans will include preparing the team to execute a new field action, anticipating the risks associated with the plan, and tracking progress against the plan. The Senior Project Manager will also be expected to monitor progress and adjust the plan as necessary to meet remediation objectives.

The Senior Project Manager will have solid project management skills, attention to detail as well as strong process execution and analytical skills. Knowledge of Pyxis products, Dispensing Professional Services implementation processes and/or Dispensing Service/Support processes, is preferred.

Business Description: Solution Deployment Services at BD, teams plan and implement BD Pyxis Technologies, Alaris Infusion products, Parata, PharmacyKeeper, and the entire MMS portfolio nationally. Implementation teams include resources from the Project Management Office, Regional Consulting & Installation teams as well as System and Interface Engineering.
Accountabilities:
The Senior Project Manager focuses on remediation actions and partners with BD leadership and subject matter authorities to implement strategy, standards, compliance and deliver a high-quality experience for our customers. The Senior Project Manager is a position responsible for leading multiple concurrent BD remediation actions. This position also provides oversight of critical issue resolutionrelated to the program.
Duration of Employment:This position has a three year duration, with an anticipated end date of June 30, 2028. If at the end of that period you have not been offered or have not accepted another position within BD, your employment will be terminated, and you will not be eligible for severance per Company policy or plan.
Major Job Responsibilities:
- Assist MMS with Field Action execution, including customer notifications, obtaining customer acknowledgment forms, and follow-ups with customers to answer questions.
- Ensure all project records are accurate and up to date
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant BD policies, procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements
- Provide training and support to project team members to ensure documented procedures are being followed, and all records are accurate and up to date
- Supports BD product teams to ensure the successful completion of their remediation projects
- Lead program leadership & steering committee status calls
- Facilitate internal communication, development & execution of mitigation plans to address program risks & issues
- Develops and reports regular program performance metrics to leadership & committees; Tracks and reports on program budget, including program spend to date and anticipated spend for future quarters.
- Optimally use established tools and standards for communicating information to executive team regarding implementation activities
- Establishes strong relationships at all levels within BD
- Will analyze work effort and resources required across multiple projects and will find opportunities to decrease rework and drive operational and implementation efficiencies
- Maintain strong industry and product knowledge
- Works closely with the BD Product Platform and SDS Readiness teams to help prioritize customer enhancement requests for future product releases
What is expected of you for success in your role:
- Demonstrates sophisticated knowledge and understanding of project management methodologies and relevant clinical and IT operations
- Facilitates strategic discussions to optimize implementation projects specific to the management of scope, requirements, financials, and schedule
- Anticipates project risks and develops mitigation strategies/plans for more sophisticated risk factors
- Serves as a mentor and trusted advisor to BD Implementation teams
- Presents and communicates project status to senior level business management
- Provide leadership to resolve conflicts across project team members and customers
- Provide governance over the technical & solution design, implementation process, and coordination of BD resources
- Ability to build BD product program roadmap plans based on solution integrations, release compatibility, customer drivers for sequence, grouping, value, and goals.
Qualifications:
- BA or BS required; PMP certification optional
- At least 7 years of experience leading clinical product/medical device implementation projects in acute care settings
- Consistent record as change champion and change leader
- Proven record as matrix leader of robust technology and clinical teams
- Consistent track record of forming teams in a dynamic growing company
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong grasp of technology and its impact on software deployment
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and meet BD's auto safety standards.
- Upon hire, must provide proof of, and maintain current immunizations and obtain additional immunizations appropriate for the facility which enables access to customer sites to perform crucial job functions. Proofs must include Hepatitis B, Influenza (current year), MMR (mumps, measles, rubella), Varicella (chicken pox) Annual TB/PPD (skin test), Tetanus/Diphtheria/Pertussis
