The BD Excellence Senior Program Manager will play a crucial role in coordinating the operations of the BD Excellence function. This role involves managing large-scale, complex schedules in a fast-paced environment to ensure organized communication and consistent delivery of BD Excellence initiatives. Responsibilities include identifying, planning, and coordinating plans across BDE internal functions to raise awareness within the BD organization. Additionally, this role will oversee the coordination of comprehensive BD Excellence events and communications, as well as track feedback for continuous improvement and sustainment. The BD Excellence Senior Program Manager will be reporting into the newly formed BD Excellence Central function, that will support BDX; for our Continuous Improvement operating model.

The BD Excellence Senior Program Manager will be reporting into the newly formed BD Excellence Central function, that will support BDX; for our Continuous Improvement operating model.
Primary Responsibilities and Duties:
- Oversee all outward facing activities related to BD Excellence to ensure efficient and effective operations. This includes BD events where BD Excellence is highlighted and BD Excellence specific events.
- Ownership of the BD Excellence website, which will serve as the central repository for training material, signing up for training and best practice sharing.
- Develop and implement operational plans that support company objectives and drive continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with senior leadership, department heads, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment with business goals and objectives, resolving conflicts as needed.
- Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to BD Excellence to facilitate data-driven decisions.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance the efficiency of the BD Excellence central function, documenting these as standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Coordinate logistical details for BD Excellence team-led events, trainings, or recordings.
- Manage the BD Excellence event calendar shared across all of BD.
- Ensure distribution list accuracy by working with BD Excellence stakeholders to provide timely and relevant communication for all BD Excellence content.
- Consolidate topics for various BD Excellence leader meetings and track follow-up actions as needed.
- Manage the central shared mailbox for the BD Excellence team, engaging key stakeholders when necessary.
- Create and maintain training resources at Franklin Lakes to ensure a consistent standard for BD Excellence branded events.
- Partner with leadership to improve functional efficiency and productivity across the BD Excellence function, focusing on problem-solving, kaizen, visual management, and standard work development.
- Serve as a thought partner to the BD Excellence leadership teams, supporting the adoption and deployment of BD Excellence tools and mindset.
- Use bowlers, KPIs, and action plans to monitor performance via metrics.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA) Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of project management experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of Lean principles, methodologies, and best practices.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience using tools like Power BI, Smartsheet, etc.
- Experience in problem-solving, visual management, kaizen, and KPI development.
- Ability to create concise communications (PPTX, Email) and present professionally to senior leadership.
- Entrepreneurial mindset, capable of driving progress with limited oversight.
- Experience leading a global team and working across cultures.
- Proven track record of learning agility, taking on new projects and roles, and demonstrating success within an accelerated timeframe.
- Detail-oriented with a strong emphasis on process improvement.
Desired Skills/Experience:
- Experience in a regulated field, with Life Science or Diagnostics is a plus.
- Experience managing large scale events with significant coordination
- Experience managing the back end of a website
- Design experience
- Six Sigma or Lean Business System certifications.
- PMP or similar certification.
- Proven experience managing multiple stakeholders and events, organizing and meeting expectations.
