Position Summary

As a Senior Product Manager for Molecular Diagnostics Assays, you will be an integral part of the Global Molecular Diagnostics Platform team within Diagnostics Solutions. Reporting to the Director of Product Management, this role will be responsible for leading a global MDx platform portfolio of products through its entire lifecycle and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to implement product line strategies. The candidate will champion cross-functional initiatives to drive product segment performance, including revenue growth, margin improvement, quality, delivery, and ensuring the success of assigned products. The candidate will be instrumental in driving global product line strategies, product life cycle management, leading VOC activities, defining market requirements, and developing growth opportunities in new and existing segments of interest.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of multigeneration product portfolio strategy through coordination with cross-functional teams within a matrixed organization.
  • Drive the new product development and introduction process, ensuring successful launch and commercialization.
  • Work cross-functionally to handle the overall life cycle of assigned product lines, including product changes, inventory needs, production planning, and quality to ensure products are positioned competitively globally.
  • Evaluate and craft financially sound business proposals for new products and partnerships that will serve to expand portfolio revenue.
  • Collect and supervise voice of customer, driven insights, market, and technology trends to shape strategies and roadmaps.
  • Ensure assigned products are receptive to market needs, driving continuous improvements where needed to maintain and/or improve market penetration and share position.
  • Establish pricing positioning, supervise product pricing vs. the competition, lead product-specific price/margin improvement initiatives, and participate in global price changes.
  • Partner with R&D, Operations, Sales, and Marketing to adjust the product line, products, and related features to drive both market share and financial results.
  • Conduct business analyses for assigned products/product lines to support business planning and generate actionable insights.
  • Collaborate with marketing and commercial teams to establish and execute marketing plans and demand generation to achieve product line objectives.
  • Ensure appropriate technical support for sales and field applications teams, including assistance with communicating and positioning products.
  • Optimally communicate product forecasts, working with global regions, planners, and supply chain to ensure accurate demand planning and product build; actively represent in Demand, Supply, and Operational Planning.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

Education and Experience

  • Minimum bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences or equivalent is required. Advanced degree and/or MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 7+ years of relevant product management experience within IVD, medical device, or life sciences in product planning and product life-cycle management, including experience with stage-gate product development processes.
  • Experience in the development and commercialization of life science or diagnostic products.
  • Broad technical experience consistent with the molecular diagnostic market.
  • Shown success in leading global new product development projects through the stage gate process.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams.
  • A strong record building alignment in cross-functional teams and navigating within a matrix organization to achieve goals

Skills

  • Strong analytical skills, ability to conduct and interpret financial analysis as it relates to the product portfolio and translate customer insights into actionable strategies.
  • Must have excellent communication, presentation, and writing skills and be comfortable communicating across various levels of collaborators
  • Results and proactive solutions driven, the ability to think critically to overcome potential business hurdles to complete tasks

Travel

  • Willing to travel up to 20%, domestic and international

Salary ranges have been implemented to reward associates fairly and competitively, as well as tosupport recognition of associates' progress, ranging from entry level to authorities in their field, andtalent mobility. There are many factors, such as location, that chip in to the range displayed. Thesalary offered to a successful candidate is based on experience, education, skills, and actual worklocation. Salary ranges may vary for Field-based and Remote roles.

$121,700.00 - 200,700.00 USD Annual
