Summary:

As a line mechanic you will be responsible for preventative maintenance of manufacturing equipment in accordance with safety procedures, standard operating procedures (SOPs) and reliability guidelines to ensure safe, reliable operation of production equipment within the facility. This position will also perform mechanical repairs on production equipment as necessary.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine inspections of equipment, including calibration and repair.
  • Work with engineering team members to implement new equipment installations.
  • Assist engineering technicians during maintenance projects.
  • Ensure all equipment modifications are documented and approved by engineering prior to implementation.
  • Train other employees in the proper use of equipment.
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and identify root causes.
  • Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and maintenance schedules.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities.
  • Adhere to safety regulations and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize equipment performance and minimize downtime.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree or equivalent experience in a technical field preferred.
  • Minimum two years' experience in manufacturing environment with responsibility for maintaining equipment.
  • Experience working with automated equipment, robotics, vision systems, etc.
  • Knowledge of electrical and hydraulic systems.
  • Proficiency in reading schematics and interpreting technical drawings.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as blueprints, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization, strong communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work independently.

Work Environment:

Personal Protective Equipment must be worn and may include a hair net, steel toe shoes, safety glasses, and/or ear plugs. This associate may be expected to stand for long periods of time during their shift.
