Job Description Summary

The Senior HR Business Partner will be responsible for providing HR guidance and support to the ANZ organization, aligning HR initiatives with business objectives, and driving organizational effectiveness and talent management. This role requires a deep understanding of HR best practice and builds and drives a positive workplace culture across BD ANZ.

The opportunity:

  • The primary purpose of this position is to provide support and advice to leaders within Australia & New Zealand (ANZ) on all aspects of human resources management including performance management, industrial relations, recruitment, organisational design and employee engagement.
  • Provide guidance on the interpretation and application of HR policies and procedures and ensure compliance with relevant legislation.
  • Supports the implementation of effective people solutions and processes, ensuring alignment with corporate global standards and local legal requirements.
  • Participates in developing, implementing and evaluating human resource programs and projects designed to improve performance and minimise costs associated with staffing, training and retention.
  • Monitors progress against agreed timeframes and budgets; identifies issues or risks and proposes mitigation plans.
  • Represents the function at various committees and meetings.
  • May lead small project teams where required.

What you'll need:

  • Tertiary qualification in Business Administration, Industrial Relations, Psychology, or equivalent desirable.
  • Minimum 5+ years' experience in human resources or related discipline.
  • Experience in managing complex employment law matters and/or investigations.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and sound judgement.
  • Ability to manage sensitive information confidentially.
  • Strong relationship building capabilities with both internal and external parties.
  • Able to analyse data and communicate findings clearly and concisely.
  • Demonstrated commitment to diversity and inclusion principles.
  • Ability to establish and maintain credibility and confidence among diverse audiences.
  • Proven capability to operate independently with minimal direction in a fast paced and changing environment.
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Experience in Workday preferred.
