Job Description
Overview of the role
The Worldwide Infusion Preparation and Delivery is a global platform, focused on enabling safe, efficient, and effective preparation and delivery of infusion therapies across the continuum of care settings around the world. It aggregates the portfolios of Infusion Systems (Acute and Ambulatory Pumps and Pump Sets) and Infusion Consumables (Gravity and Syringe Delivery, IV Access, Hazardous Drug Safety and OEM), representing more than $1B in revenue.
The Sr. Director, Infusion Systems will be responsible for defining the global strategy, setting goals, and delivering on financial, operational, quality and product development commitments for the Infusion Systems' portfolio across all product lines: BD Alaris Plus, BD Alaris neXus, BD neXus and Global Ambulatory (pumps, software, services, accessories, and pump sets).
To achieve success in this role, the individual will institute and/or improve relevant processes and governance and will effectively lead a cross-functional platform team of sales, marketing, finance, quality, regulatory, medical affairs, operations, and R&D experts. The incumbent will also proactively collaborate across Medication Delivery Solutions (MDS) and Medication Management Solutions (MMS) business units, and with BD Regions to ensure go-to-market strategic alignment, commercial excellence and overall customer happiness when promoting existing and launching new products and services globally.
Additionally, the new joiner will work in partnership with Sr. Director Consumables PLM and Innovation and Sr. Director Commercial Excellence to ensure strategic alignment on portfolio lifecycle management and product launch activities, successfully delivering business performance results.
This position serves as a key member of the WW Infusion Preparation and Delivery Leadership Team, and participates routinely in all key activities related to its overall strategic direction and performance.
The role will report to the VP/GM WW Infusion Preparation and Delivery and will be based in Eysins, Switzerland.
Key Responsibilities:
- Achieve operational, NPD and financial performance (revenue and margin) commitments for the Infusion Systems portfolio.
- Achieve innovation and NPD landmarks for the Acute and Ambulatory infusion portfolios.
- Develop clear multi-year global strategic, product development and operational direction for the portfolio, defining the product roadmap and ensuring high levels of compliance with regulatory requirements and quality standards.
- Guide platform, functional and regional teams in their execution of strategic and tactical priorities to deliver on revenue, growth, profitability, quality and product development targets.
- Implement commercial go-to-market strategy through direct and indirect channels in collaboration with regional teams.
- Establish effective processes and governance models to continuously supervise all aspects of portfolio performance. Secure cross-functional support and resource allocation for key initiatives.
Additional Responsibilities.
- Work with manufacturing and supply chain teams to drive continuous operational improvement initiatives and ensure supply continuity and adequate customer service levels.
- Nurture the culture of quality and liaise with relevant internal and external subject matter experts and takes vital actions to sustain and improve product and QMS compliance
- Generate actionable customer insights to drive innovation, and prioritize customer needs in partnership with internal and external partners
- Strive to exceed customer expectations by energizing cross-functional teams to deliver consistently outstanding performance across product value chain.
- Anticipate and break down cross-functional team barriers through clear communication and functional partnership to quickly resolve potential challenges.
- Hire, manage, mentor, upskill and develop high-performing platform team of ~ 15 FTEs, serving as a role model across various proficiencies and leadership behaviors, eliminating team barriers to progress and empowering agile decision making.
- Lead strategies, project and teams through high degree of ambiguity and multifaceted market environments, exemplifying growth mindset.
Skills and Competencies

Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Marketing, Business, or Technical Field required; MBA/MS highly preferred.
- Substantial functional experience in regional and/or global marketing, preferably in medical devices industry.
- Extensive team leadership and talent development experience.
Location and Travel
- Eysins, Switzerland office.
- Travel up to 25% of the time for customer visits and internal meetings.
