Job Description Summary

BD is currently hiring for the new exciting opportunity of Sales Specialist PI - Essex, Norfolk, Bedfordshire, Suffolk and Cambridgeshire (Field)

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing a detailed understanding of ESKD (End Stage Kidney Disease) and PVD (Peripheral arterial and venous disease) in conjunction with BD's products and their indications across Interventional Radiologists, Vascular Surgeons, Nephrologists, Vascular nurses and Dialysis nurses in order to fully support and develop the UK business. The role is critical in creating a comprehensive awareness and environment with each customer on the value and role of the ESKD and PVD portfolio so that each patient can benefit from the technologies available to them. The role will have a big focus on implementing new technology and patient pathways incorporating a detailed program.

BD Interventional

BD Interventional (BDI) focus on leading innovation and life-enhancing devices in the field of surgical, endovascular, urological and critical care interventions aiming at advancing the treatment of high burden diseases and enabling surgical and interventional procedures.

Peripheral Intervention

Our Peripheral Intervention (PI) business unit offers a comprehensive range of medical products, devices and services for the treatment of peripheral arterial and venous disease, cancer detection, and end-stage renal disease and maintenance.

About the role

In this role you will build a deep understanding of ESKD and PVD with targeted customers by driving professional education and creating internal therapy and product champions within each account. You will work collaboratively with the therapy development specialists in the team to support the portfolio.

Main responsibilities will include:

  • Demonstrate a passion and successful track record in medical device sales which will include the implementation of new product lines and the ability to drive the sales process per plan.
  • Prioritise and manage accounts at varying stages of development, including the ability to drive for new business whilst maintaining excellent customer relations within established account.
  • Understand stakeholders requirements and be able to analyse requirements and develop strategies that drives adoption of technologies and become a trusted business adviser providing solutions.
  • Effectively apply the company selling tools and CRM system.
  • Identify and help in the development of key opinion leaders and product champions.

About you

  • Extensive experience in medical device sales. Theatre/cardiology/radiology experience preferred
  • Proven successful sales and account management experience
  • Strong negotiation skills with procurement and budget holders
  • Experience in navigating a complex selling environment
  • Solid understanding in the use of Health Economic tools
  • Good understanding of NHSSC, NICE and CCG Tariffs
  • Strong product demonstration experience in a complex sales environment involving multiple decision makers/influencers
  • Ability to analyse complex customer data and develop and communicate clinically and technically sound sales solutions
  • Ability to interface with both internal team members and external customers as part of a solution based sales approach
  • Proven customer acumen and relationship building skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, teaching and presenting skills
