Our vision for "function or BU" at BD
As a leading manufacturer and supplier of products that are used daily in healthcare, the Medication Delivery Solutions (MDS) team provide a wide range of products for injection and infusion therapy, regional anesthesia and closed medication management.
About the role
The Sales Representative will be responsible for all sales activities within the assigned territory in accordance with the company policy and direction of management. They will report directly to the Sales Manager.
Main responsibilities will include:
- Maintaining and developing sales within the given territory with a view of becoming the leading supplier of Medication Delivery Solutions.
- To grow and develop new business thereby building up a solid customer base, to ensure the budgeted sales are achieved, by continuously developing and updating client strategies.
- To assist where and when required, in the promotion of BD products through organized exhibitions and meetings to demonstrate the benefits of various products to clients.
- To arrange that strategic HCP's attend promotional meetings and to facilitate the follow up of these HCPs to ensure optimal benefit is achieved from any given meeting.
- Build relationships with Anesthetic, Intensivist and Infection Prevention Fraternity
- Submission of planners and reports on a weekly basis to the direct line manager.
- Attain budgeted monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets.
- Update and utilize Salesforce.com (SFDC) to manage territory sales funnel (web-based planning/sales tool).
About you
- University degree in a medical discipline, preferably nursing
- Exposure or background in a medical or clinical setting.
- Strong administration skills
- Ability to establish good relationships with medical experts in medical field
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
