About the role
Territory: North-Eastern Poland.
Sales & Solution Specialist leads the main sales projects in Poland, with an emphasis on building BD's position as a partner for the healthcare system, using the entire portfolio of BD IDS solutions. Coordinates the process and sales activities, conducts them directly at the customers in consultation with the Sales Manager & Clinical & Application Manager. Sales & Solution Specialist has comprehensive and full knowledge of clients (their needs, challenges, strategies) and projects implemented by clients and is responsible for building and maintaining relationships with people occupying top management positions in the client's organizational structure and for identifying and developing sales projects in response to the client's strategic needs. It directly affects the sales activities of customer managers and the customer's purchasing process. Sales & Solution specialist is also responsible for providing direction and support to customers on operation and knowledge of company products & solutions and demonstrates uses and advantages of products.
Main responsibilities will include:
- Responsible for active and effective sales and promotion of Integrated Microbiology & Specimen Management solutions
- Builds and consolidates relationships with relevant regional and national customers, decision-makers and opinion leaders.
- Maintains an accurate and current CRM database (salesforce.com) of all accounts including activities, opportunities, risks and customer contact details.
- Attends relevant industry trade shows, conferences and meetings as required.
- Prepares and processes of tenders as well as the conception and follow-up of offers in close collaboration with the Application and Clinical Specialists and Sales Manager & Clinical & Application Manager.
- Handles of product complaints, process in the relevant systems and communication with the customers
- Regularly collects and processes market information (trends, competition behavior, products, services, etc.), as well as introducing ideas for central concept development.
- Support the implementation of product portfolio strategies including pricing, positioning, and product promotion.
- Coordinates of product trainings for specific target group together with the Application and Clinical Specialist and conduct product demonstrations and validations with prospective customers
- Support the sales process by gathering customer information about technical trends/ needs to support development of selling strategies and future products.
- Prepares and presents seminars to customers, potential customers and BD employees as requested.
- Responsible for providing direction and support to customers on operation and knowledge of company products & solutions and demonstrates uses and advantages of products.
- Perform on-site demo and clinical trainings for customers
About you
- Educational background in the laboratory medicine, pharmacy, biology, biotechnology (required).
- 1-3 years track record in the diagnostic industry on sales and/or related position, with proven success
- Knowledge of laboratory processes and techniques in microbiology, molecular biology, specimen managements.
- Technical, laboratory and/or scientific experience is a plus
- Good orientation on the medical devices market and its opinion-forming environment is a plus.
- Good communication in English
