Main Task & Responsibilities

  • Develops and drives the execution of marketing and omni channel communication plans in collaboration with the Cross functional region team, Country teams, & Marcom team for the achievement of key marketing functional goals, financial expectations and product line strategies, including launches.
  • Drives and executes downstream launch excellence of the next gen Blood Culture portfolio.
  • Owns the Blood Culture portfolio, drive marketing requirements into the R&D strategy, contributes to new product development, and product life cycle management, with informed market data driven decisions.
  • Leads and executed the Blood Stream Infection (BSI) initiatives in the region.
  • Identify & quantify business opportunities, in the region by applying BD Way of Marketing methodology & by collaborating with EMEA IDS country organization.
  • Collaborates with WW platform to position the needs of the region proactively.
  • Participate actively in formulating and to ensure the implementation of brand strategies and tactics to generate BD brand awareness that translate into sales growth in the market
  • Identify/lead impactful events, congresses and targets KOL to develop business opportunity for the assigned portfolio.
  • Conduct sales & marketing training for the Blood Culture portfolio and BSI initiatives to the respective team members.
  • Proactively contributes to and collaborates with team peers and other aligned business units across the region towards the development of the European Integrated Diagnostic Systems Marketing Strategy.
  • Develops marketing expertise through specific and sophisticated set of skills and knowledge, e.g. branding, communications, digital marketing, product development, downstream marketing.
  • Coordinate activities with other functions that are required related to the launch and marketing/sales plans. These functions encompass customer workflow solutions, customer program management, regulatory affairs, medical and scientific affairs, supply chain, technical service, marketing communications, etc.
  • Support sales force, engage in budget and strategic review as well as sales tactics.
  • Collaboratively work with supply chain team for demand planning and forecasting of the assigned portfolio.

Requirements (Qualifications, Experience, Skills, Competencies)

  • You have an academic degree in Microbiology or a similar education, and/or a minimum of 5+ years business experience in the life science industry. An additional marketing qualification would be an advantage.
  • Experience in product management (downstream and upstream) and launch excellence, omni-channel experience would be a strong asset.
  • You have ideally experience in identifying market opportunities, market segmentation, targeted marketing, competitive analysis, pricing strategy and go to market models and strategies. Experience working with customers and collecting user inputs and feedback.
  • You have the capacity to lead and influence decisions of a project team and excellent proven planning skills combined with a high level of self-organization and initiative.
  • You are pro-active in moving things forward with a strong will to win, strong achievement motivation.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, analytical approach to problems.
  • You are proficient in English and preferably one or more European languages, such as French, Spanish, Italian or German.
  • You are comfortable in a multicultural environment and have up to 30% travel willingness.
