Position Summary:

This position supports new product development and sustaining engineering activities such as test method development, hands-on testing, technical documentation, and other activities from R&D, Quality, and Regulatory Affairs.

Essential / Key Job Responsibilities (including supervisory and/or fiscal):

  • Supports development of test methods and test method validations
  • Supports design validation / verification and process validation
  • Assists in preparing verification and validation protocols and reports, including data analysis and data verification
  • Performs lab bench testing, conducts engineering and competitor evaluations, development unit testing, and performs verification and validation activities
  • Assists in developing design control documentation, translating design inputs into design outputs
  • Assists in design and process root cause analysis and supports non-conforming product and complaint investigations
  • Participates in project planning, budgeting, scheduling and tracking
  • Develops and implements procedures to align with corporate and industry standards
  • Maintains a professional working relationship with internal and external customer and support staff
  • Prepares and presents project updates and technical discussions
  • Collaborates cross-functionally with R&D, Quality, Regulatory, Marketing, and Clinical team members

Required Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelors degree program in Electrical, Biomedical or Mechanical Engineering field.
  • Statistical analysis
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Suite
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Problem solving ability
  • Ability to generate engineering proposals
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in cross-functional teams

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with Analog electronics, microcontroller based systems
  • Familiarity of and any experience with Regulated industries
  • Design Verification/Validation (software)
  • Experience with Minitab
  • Experience Altium/Orcad
