The Procurement Program Manager will collaborate closely with the BOC Procurement Managers to drive the development and execution of cross Category BOC Programs and Initiatives comprising of; Procurement Risk Management, Cost to Win (Savings) Management, Procurement Compliance, Procurement Metrics and other initiatives as assigned to support BOC Procurement.
This role will require engagement with the BOC Mexico Sites, Global Procurement and other functions within BDX and require strong project management skills sets.

The Procurement Program Manager will be located and report directly to the Director of Strategic Sourcing at the Bard Operations Center (BOC) in Guaynabo, Puerto Rico. The Procurement Program Manager will collaborate closely with the BOC Procurement Managers to drive the development and execution of cross Category BOC Programs and Initiatives comprising of; Procurement Risk Management, Cost to Win (Savings) Management, Procurement Compliance, Procurement Metrics and other initiatives as assigned to support BOC Procurement. This role will require engagement with the BOC Mexico Sites, Global Procurement and other functions within BDX and require strong project management abilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Engage/Partner with BOC Procurement Managers, BOC Mexico Sites, Internal Stakeholders and Suppliers in Executing and Reporting on BOC Procurement Category Risk Mitigation and Business-Critical Product Line Risk Mitigation Initiatives inclusive of Risk Programs targeting Supplier Quality, Supply Continuity and Cost Management (i.e. Tail Spend Rationalization, Inventory Management)
  • Serve as BOC Strategic Sourcing lead and primary point of contact in collaboration with the Global Procurement Risk Function on Global Procurement Risk Initiatives.
  • Tracking and reporting of supply critical issues and reactive risk mitigation activities including but not limited to business impact in form of Back Order and Production Line Stoppages
  • Support assessments around Single/Sole Source as well as Supplier Value Stream Mapping to define sub tier risks and Supply Chain challenges for Risk Mitigation development.
  • Lead supplier interruption events as assigned when cross site or cross category complexity exists.
  • Serve as Champion for BOC Guaynabo and MX sites Procurement Metrics - Lead Development, Maintenance and Reporting of Cost to Win (Savings) Metrics and other Key Performance indicators for both BOC Procurement and Plant Purchasing.
  • Drive, track and report on Inflation Mitigation and Clawback initiatives.
  • Serve as BOC Strategic Sourcing lead during BOC Guaynabo Office Audit Preparations and representative during these Audits.
  • Support indirect procurement needs in the Guaynabo Office.
  • This role may also provide support to other BOC category management or Global Procurement initiatives on an as needed basis.

Requirements

Education and/ or Experience:

  • BS/BA degree
  • 5-8+ years of experience in Procurement/Purchasing
  • Experience in Project or Program Management
  • Experience in building metrics or dashboards for Executive Level reporting
  • Experience in Medical device, Pharma, or other Regulated Industry

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish (Verbal, Writing, Reading)
  • Proficient in Supplier Risk Mitigation
  • Understanding of procurement risk management and compliance
  • Familiarity with cost management and savings strategies
  • Proficiency in developing and maintaining metrics and dashboards
  • Proficient with Audits in a Medical device or Regulated Industries.
  • Excellent analytical, project management, influencing, negotiation and communication skills.
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities, manage complex situations, and communicate with executives
  • Ability to use PC's and associated software like PowerBi
  • Ability to collaborate with various stake holders, including internal teams and suppliers
  • Ability to support indirect procurement needs and other procurement initiatives as needed
