Responsibilities

  • Ensures that all activities comply with government (OSHA, EPA, FDA, ISO, etc.) regulations and corresponding company policies/procedures including activities and programs as defined in the Quality Systems Manual for BD Broken Bow.
  • Develops an extensive knowledge of customer needs (internal and external), product specifications and product functional expectations at the customer level and employs software solutions to meet and exceed them.
  • Acts at subject matter expert in EDHR software management, configuration, deployment, etc.
  • Manages site databases.
  • Creates and deploys software and/or hardware related tools to facilitate continuous improvement.
  • Implements corrective, preventative, and improvement initiatives through validation and control plan implementation while navigating BD change processes using continuous improvement and six-sigma techniques.
  • Participates on sustaining engineering, or site led projects where new technology is involved and provides full process characterization with an effective day one control plan.
  • Communicates with cross-functionally and vertically with clear and concise summaries of investigation activities using valid statistical techniques.
  • Ensures GMP documentation where required.
  • Maintains current knowledge of requirements of federal and all other regulatory agencies regarding medical products.
  • As directed by quality supervision and Franklin Lakes, communicates and coordinates with component and equipment vendors regarding outcomes of investigations.
  • Optimizes, designs, and operates various types of test equipment and ensures integration with software as applicable.
  • Independently identifies opportunities in safety, quality, delivery and/or cost and presents information driven remediation projects for prioritization.
  • Manages holistic project timelines from conception to turnkey solution while leveraging cross-functional resources with minimal oversight.

Minimum Requirement:

  • BA in Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
