JOB SUMMARY
Assist in the operation of Injection Molding presses with proficiency while meeting quality, productivity, waste, cost, housekeeping and safety goals in accordance with standard procedures and Good Manufacturing Practices. Provides material handling support to the molding area through transporting product to and from any stage in the manufacturing process, by using a powered lift truck to ensure budgeted throughput rates are maintained in all operations in the molding area. Scans materials to storage locations in warehouse and removes materials from warehouse storage locations to prepare for transportation to production.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
The essential functions of this position include but are not limited to:

1. Handle all stacking, corrugated case construction and perform assigned duties at presses and determined by production volume. Move and stack production pallets as needed.
2. Responsible for cleanliness and orderly condition of a designated are of the molding department.
3. Observance of all safety and environmental procedures and Good Manufacturing Practices.
4. Familiar with raw, in-process or finished materials and their locations and is responsible for neat and proper storage.
5. Possess a working knowledge of all processes and the components required to operate processes within the molding area.
6. Accurately records and reports waste, and assists departmental supervision in maintaining inventory control
7. Transports components from manufacturing to staging area.
8. Deliver molded components to Raw Material Warehouse.
9. Scan materials to storage locations in warehouse
10. Remove materials from warehouse storage locations and prepare for transportation to production.
11. Manage colorant and additives as needed.
12. Maintains clean working conditions in assigned areas and reports any safety hazards to supervision immediately.
13. Must be able to operate a forklift safely.
14. Work with limited supervision and maintain an atmosphere of cooperation among and between shifts, mold repair, quality control, assembly, engineering and management to attain departmental goals.
15. Transportation of raw materials and finished goods to and from molding area as needed for production.
16. Perform miscellaneous duties as required by supervision.
17. May include answering machine/equipment alarms as needed

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES
Other responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:

1. Compliance with all local, state, federal and BD safety regulations, policies/procedures.
2. Complies with all local BD quality policies/procedures/practices through consistent application of sound Quality Assurance principle

Minimum Requirement:

  • High School Diploma or GED
