Job Description Summary

We are seeking an experienced and driven Market Development Manager to join the APM business unit at BD. In this central coordination role, you will be responsible for new business development, strategic product commercialisation, and establishing centers of excellence and key opinion leader relationships. You will develop and execute commercial plans to enable successful business rollouts and drive market expansion for our innovative products.

As the Market Development Manager, you will serve as the primary driver and deliver the annual operating plan for new product groups, reporting directly to the Business Unit Director with defined targets for the country. You will establish and coordinate go-to-market strategies for target accounts, essential key opinion leader development, and impactful influence on market adoption and first-to-market plans in each country. Additionally, you will coordinate with PEMA, educational needs, societies, and commercial plans to establish key opinion leader and expert panels, driving adoption with market access and health economic reforms.

The Advanced Patient Monitoring (APM) division at Becton Dickinson is a global leader in providing innovative solutions for intensive care management. Known for its expertise and dedication to improving clinical outcomes, the division focuses on developing advanced technologies that enable precise and real-time hemodynamic monitoring of critically ill patients. Mission and Vision The division is dedicated to offering tools that help medical teams make informed decisions in complex intensive care environments. By integrating innovation-driven solutions, we support healthcare professionals in their pursuit of clinical excellence and continuous improvement of care.

Main responsibilities will include:

  • Be primary responsible driver and deliver AOP for new product groups.
  • Reporting directly to the Business Unit Director with defined targets the country. Help to deliver and co ordinate activity to deliver the result through identified and responsible parties within each country.
  • Establish and coordinate in each country, go to target accounts for development, essential KOL development, strategic and impactful influence on market adoption and first to market plans. This should be done through coordination of identified and responsible bodies in each country.
  • Establish KOL and round table expert panels in coordination with PEMA, educational needs, society and commercial plans to drive adoption with Market access and health economic reforms.
  • Analyse market practices and make recommendations to functional heads based on the findings to adopt the best industry practice to help develop the best value solutions within patient groups that benefit in terms of healthcare improvement and hospitals safety, quality and efficiencies.
  • Develop solutions to reflect the performance, go to market strategies, communication and collaboration plan with Marketing. Understand and develop risk profiling based on competitive activity and mitigation plans to maximise performance and growth.

About you

  • Proven successful project management skills, ability to develop key and strategic partnerships
  • Proven expertise in both Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced Excel and CRM systems (e.g. sales force.com)
  • Excellent presentation skills to internal parties, educational and with strong influential skills.
  • Excellent documentation and communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills including negotiating and relationship management skills with ability to drive achievement of objectives
  • Extensive understanding of related aspects of channel operations and/or systems
  • Knowledge of external changes related to medical device industry
  • Extensive and proven experience within the Med tech environment.
  • Ability to develop models
  • Strict attention to detail
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast paced environment
  • Understands funding pathways at a local level and feed into the national picture
