As the Manufacturing Process Engineer, you will be part of a dynamic team in a high flow production environment.
The role will require the successful candidate to analysis, live and historical, automatically collected data, to find the opportunities to:
• Eliminate Safety concerns
• Increase line efficiency
• Improve OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness)
• Expand Capacity
• Reduce Quality issues
• Reduce waste
There will be occasions for the successful applicant to support the wider team in machine installations and/or improvement upgrades, therefore a good solid Electrical and/or Mechanical engineering background is required.

Main responsibilities will include:
- A daily summery of opportunities to improve production lines by providing direction to the wider team using data.
- Drive centre lining activities for sustained line performance
- Poke-yoke solutions and improvements.
- Implement Quality improvements to drive down Quality risks
- Drive safety initiatives and improvements.
- Ascertain opportunities for waste reductions and drive actions to completion.
- Resolve repeat machine loss issues, using industry standard problem-solving techniques and tools, to determine root cause.
- Feedback data, to improve Maintenance Standards and execution (Frequency, Breakdowns and Repairs) to Reliability Leader based on problem solving outcomes and maintenance activities.
About you:
- Higher National Certificate (HNC) or above in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- 5+ years technical or manufacturing experience required, with several years of experience with high-speed automated assembly and packaging equipment required.
- Experience working in a busy manufacturing setting.
- Ability to work as part of a team and encourage effect teambuilding activities.
- Confident independent thinking, with the ability to act quickly in a high pressure situation.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving abilities.
- Experience with safety and ergonomics in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understand of Quality Systems.
- Some PLC experience preferred but not essential.
