Job Responsibilities:

  • Assure a good level of knowledge spread among the Supply Chain department on Factory Flow and Continuous Improvement tools
  • Project Management and problem solving activities in operational area, location, human factors, environmental factors, facility and process flow
  • Time study knowledge (included 3M and Golden Zone knowledge)
  • Establish the routes and frequencies for supplying the production lines with mizu-sumashi
  • Supermarket implementation
  • Call off systems knowledge and implementation in shopfloor and warehouse (Kanban calculation)
  • Assure Visual Management in every logistic area (5S)
  • Develop guidelines, policies and procedures to ensure quality and cost control.
  • Develop handbook to train the operators on continuous improvement activities and standards
  • Good Knowledge of all SAP procedures

Requirements

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial, or Logistics.
  • 3 years of relevant experience in Manufacturing or Logistics (preferably in both industries).
  • Continuous improvement and lean expertise experience
  • High Volume manufacturing industry experience preferred

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • EH&S and Safety including understanding of the 8 waste
  • Logistics and Planning Knowledge

  • Safety Management & Procedures
  • Effective Oral and Written Communication
  • Quality System Knowledge
  • Basic Computer Skills

Work Environment:

  • BD is a smoke-free campus. Smoking and the use of electronic smoking devices, marijuana, or tobacco products are not allowed on BD property, grounds or in the parking areas. We appreciate your cooperation in adhering to this policy
  • False eyelashes, press-on fingernails, and Jewelry is not allowed on the production floor including dermals. Any associate wearing dermals will be required to cover them while working on the production floor.
  • Shoes are required to be Steel Toe and non-slip for all associates while on the production floor for safety purposes.
