RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Examine inoperative or malfunctioning production equipment and machinery in assigned areas and diagnose source of trouble (mechanical or electrical).
2. Dismantle machinery and perform routine and non-routine repairs. Replace broken or defective parts reassemble machines and adjust equipment for optimal performance.
3. Coordinate the manufacture of replacement items with the Machine Shop.
4. Correct minor electrical problems as needed to facilitate a repair.
5. May be required to make simple replacement parts for emergency repair of inoperative production equipment to avoid costly downtime.
6. Perform preventative maintenance task as needed to maintain production equipment. Complete all required maintenance records for each machine. Provide PM leadership as required.
7. Responsible for all production product lines and provide back-up support on an "as needed" basis.
8. Mentoring the maintenance mechanic backup personnel and support the production team as required.
9. Must be able to work alone or in a group environment on repairs as needed.
10. Other duties as assigned.

DEPARTMENT SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
1. 2 axis alignments.
2. Belt / conveyors replacements / repair
3. Pneumatic valves and filters.
4. Lead the Change over all zones
5. Understand vision system inspections and specifications
6. Trouble shoot and repair basic electrical malfunctions in all sensors types used in production
7. Dismantle machinery and perform routine and non-routine repairs. Replace broken or defective parts reassemble machines and adjust equipment.
8. Coordinate the manufacture of replacement tooling with the Machine Shop.
9. Trouble shoot and repair basic electrical malfunctions in all sensors types used in production
10. Correct minor electrical and logic problems using own initiative and judgment.

COMPETENCIES

  • Competent using Email and basic Microsoft Office.

EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum Education: High school diploma or A.S./A.A. degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum Experience: Two or more years of experience in repairing industrial equipment and machinery or packaging machinery. Must show a working knowledge of electronic, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems as applicable. Must be able to work with blueprints, or verbal instructions.
