Job Description Summary
The Lead Consultant is experienced with the implementation of Medication Management Systems. This involves extensive customer interaction and relationship development at the Pharmacy/Partner level. In addition, the Lead Consultant guides the upgrade process through confirmed expertise of clinical and technical processes of Medication Dispensing Systems. The effective Consultant must be able to clearly communicate, thoroughly document and demonstrate Dispensing product upgrade competency. This also involves working with the customer by capturing customer requirements, defining standard processes, design decisions and policy and procedures consulting. The Lead Consultant effectively performs the required tasks to ensure timely Go-Lives and customer satisfaction. The Lead Consultant must have the ability to establish collaborative working relationships with cross-functional project teams. Project teams will include multiple fields from within Dispensing Systems and customer teams. The Consultant is a mentor for both customers and internal team members.

Communication
- Facilitation of conference calls and customer meetings on BD Medication Systems Dispensing product solutions.
- Establish rapport with customers that is conducive to long term business. relationships
- Provide team support and product information on BD Medication Systems Dispensing products as assigned by manager. Mentors team members to ensure product and process competency.
- Must be able to manage customer teams, gain consensus within teams and deliver concise and consistent communication.
- Guide the review of customer site assessment and facilitates project design and upgrade of BD Medication Systems Dispensing products and technologies.
Technical
- Demonstrate functional knowledge of pharmacy/clinical workflow processes, hospital formulary build, hospital & pharmacy system integration, clinical device settings, interface validation (ADT, billing, patient profile), user account role design, active directory.
- Complete pharmacy and clinical assessments and future state design.
- Ability to interact and guide diverse cross-functional teams with a focus on medium - large hospital level health systems.
- Demonstrate fluency of established BD Medication Systems Dispensing product implementation methodologies and tools or equivalent industry standards.
- Must be detail oriented, able to multi-task and have the ability to implement sophisticated projects consistent with established company and customer objectives.
- Demonstrate critical thinking and ability to aid customers in improving current business/practice operations, including standardization across hospital level health systems.
- Demonstrates problem solving, troubleshooting and system consultation as it relates to pharmacy workflow and standard process considerations and health system standardization.
- Mentor team members on products, standard processes and customer education.
- Expected to act as a customer support resource when vital.
- Fluent with BD Medication Systems Dispensing products.
Administrative
- Assist MMS with Field Action execution, including customer notifications, obtaining customer acknowledgment forms, and follow-ups with customers to answer questions.
- Ensure all role related project records are accurate and up to date
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant BD policies, procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements
- Supports BD product teams to ensure the successful completion of their remediation projects
- Coordinate client resources and assign project tasks.
- Ability to actively lead projects when required.

- Possess excellent organizational skills with the flexibility to readily adapt to change.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree or equivalent education and implementation of Medication Management Systems work experience.
- Expertise in HIS/PIS systems and pharmacy and nursing workflow. Five or more years in healthcare environment with technical (systems) involvement and computerized system applications. Dispensing software technology experience a plus. Must have a solid understanding of a variety of software applications, including BD Medication Systems Dispensing products and exposure to solution design processes. Experience with medium - large health systems required.
- Upon hire, must provide proof of, and maintain current immunizations and obtain additional immunizations appropriate for the facility which enables access to customer sites in order to perform essential job functions. Proofs must include but are not limited to: Hepatitis B, Influenza (current year), MMR (mumps, measles, rubella), Varicella (chicken pox) Annual TB/PPD (skin test), Tetanus/Diphtheria/Pertussis
- Travel may range from 25% - 40%, overnight travel. Position requires flexible working hours, including some nights and weekends. Ability to work independently from home office.
