Job Description

The Lead Business Systems Analyst team member is responsible for leading day-to-day issue support and quality system testing for business systems across the MMS US Region. In addition to the business analyst duties, the Lead Business System Analyst is a role model for the team that provides strategic direction to the team using best-practices where possible. This role works across the Business Transformation Team to identify process and learning improvement opportunities and works within the team to implement testing and production support changes to increase efficiency, improve the quality of work, and reduce support resolution times. This role works closely with Managers, Product Owners, other Business Analysts, offshore support, IT, and domain experts to continuously align and refine our Business Systems support and testing structures.

Business System Core technologies include SAP (ECC/CRM, S/4 HANA), Salesforce (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Salesforce Field Service, Community Cloud, Asset360), Genesys; CPQ Oracle, HPALM, and other tools.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Testing Leadership


  • Definesthe Test Strategy and Vision for the Technology Enablement Team


  • Identifies and implements process changes to improve quality and scale testing efforts across multiple products.


  • Builds andmaintains a consistentTest Management Planacross teams focused on ensuring product quality coverage andcorrectness for deployments.


  • Provides leadership and guidance to the Tester/BA Team through informative sessions, mentorship and coaching on testing best practices/continuous improvement.


  • Develops, tracks, and communicates testing metrics.

Test Execution

  • Build a test-driven engineering culture that drives improvements in quality.


  • Develops test execution strategies, including dependencies and resources.


  • Identifies business process scenarios, leads test planning sessions.


  • Authors, implements, and reviews test scripts for functional, integration, and regression testing.


  • Performs testing validation in production (smoke testing).


  • Logs defects and works with IT and business on successful resolution.


  • Ensures tests meet quality validation requirements.


  • Coordinates and supports business testing -setup of test data,user provisioning, ensures data readiness for testing.


  • Provides demos when needed.


  • Tackle and resolve day-to-day operations for end users.


  • Create and maintain documentation for sprint and Service Efficiency support


  • Support organisational change process end user training


  • Support requirements gathering workshops and facilitate collaborator alignment


  • Answer questions from developers and clarify requirements


  • Understand and implement validated test scripts as needed (desired)

Issue Support

  • Handles US production support - prioritizing issues and guiding the team to develop next steps and action plans


  • Performs root cause analysis for issues - is go-to person for sophisticated issue resolution, provides direction to the team when there are roadblocks


  • Leads and drives issue resolution and enhancement/configuration changes through IT support tickets


  • Acts as liaison between the business and IT for issue resolution-conducts discovery with business, captures details, evaluates impact, provides appropriate level of detail to IT/Development Team, recreates issue and demonstrates for issue resolution


  • Acts as point-person for system outages/critical system issues


  • Works with the business to developworkaroundsand communication strategies for system issues/outages as needed


  • Proactively communicates system issue updates to end users, stakeholders, and management


  • Monitors and identifies trends and engages team and management when appropriate to resolve if system changes vital


  • Backup for initial triage of production support issues, role ownership/approval, and on-boarding/off-boarding (may include supervising case queue, group mailbox, Salesforce chatter)


  • Develops, monitors, and supportsteam metrics for issue resolution times


  • Develops clear, concise documentation for both on andoff-shore teams' system support

Domain Expertise

  • Represents the Technology Enablement Team as subject matter/system guide for MMS projects (attends meetings/workshops, answers questions, provides guidance)


  • Provides support to management and Product Owner at the strategic and functional level


  • Supports Product Manager and Product Owner on requirements development, story grooming, refinement & definition


  • Provides mentorship and training to team members.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and SharePoint.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required or equivalent experience


  • 3+ years Salesforce and/or SAP support or administration experience


  • 3+ years of business system analyst experience


  • 3+ years quality testing experience


  • Proficient using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and SharePoint


  • Experience with agile tools, methodologies and concepts (Scrum, Kanban, Lean, XP, TDD) preferred


  • Experience on an agile team, including familiarity with scrum ceremonies and agile standard processes preferred


  • Experience working in a validated testing environment preferred


  • Project management experience preferred
