Job Description Summary

The Laboratory Automation Informatics Specialist (LAIS) is a crucial member of our team working with the European Laboratory Informatics Manager. This is a full-time field position, open anywhere in Denmark or Sweden. You will be delivering product expertise in Network Configuration and Computer Infrastructure for the implementation of Lab Auto solutions at customer sites. Your role includes troubleshooting Middleware solutions, Information Systems Integration, and deploying BD Remote Support tools.

Main responsibilities will include:

  • Act as a trusted advisor during the implementation of BD Lab Automation and Informatics solutions at customer sites.
  • Collaborate with multi-functional teams to complete comprehensive project plans.
  • Configure BD Lab Automation Data Management Solution, including LIS connectivity and software customization.
  • Perform IT installations and upgrades.
  • Manage and respond to direct support requests, troubleshooting technical issues promptly.
  • Assist in determining root causes of product issues and provide feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Identify product improvement needs and performance issues, communicating them to European marketing.
  • Ensure proper implementation of Field Corrective Actions.

About you:

  • Hold a degree in Computer Sciences/Networking/Technical degree or possess comparable, demonstrable knowledge and experience.
  • Knowledge of information systems, including computer hardware, Operating System configuration, network design and troubleshooting and virtualization technologies is desirable
  • Experience as a 3rd line support engineer is a plus.
  • Demonstrate excellent customer focus and problem-solving skills, with a flexible and proactive demeanor towards changing priorities and multiple workstreams.
  • Possess good interpersonal skills to be comfortable to communicate at multiple levels within customers and the BD organization.
  • Be fluent in spoken and written English; knowledge of a second and third European language is an asset.

You will have the autonomy to manage your own schedule, balancing customer interactions with the convenience of working from home during the rest of your time. This is an exciting opportunity to have frequent professional travellings within EMEA up to 50%.
