This R&D Lab Technician role which is focused on research and development involves performing routine laboratory functions in accordance with standard operating procedures, including product testing for R&D as well as manufacturing operations. The individual will assist with method development and validation activities to support product development initiatives. Responsibilities also include maintaining laboratory equipment, chemicals, and glassware in proper working condition. Documenting results and entering data as required by current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) is a crucial aspect of the position.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Perform analytical testing in support of ongoing R&D and process development projects. Willing to support Manufacturing, Quality, Regulatory, and R&D to ensure systems are aligned with all guidelines.
  • Follow work instructions and standard operating procedures (SOP).
  • Assist with writing and summarizing technical reports based on analytical findings.
  • Lab instrumentation, and equipment management.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School or equivalent
  • 2+ years work history that includes industrial experience in analytical chemistry and/or laboratory settings, preferably in medical device or other regulated FDA/QSR and ISO environments.
  • Experience with Technical Documentation, able to maintain proper and through recorded documentation of equipment setup, procedures as well as the "what? why? how? and the conclusion" of tests.
  • Extensive knowledge of daily laboratory procedures, equipment utilization, setups, processes and safety protocols.
  • Good working history and experience using Microsoft Excel for data entry and record keeping.
  • Proficiency with the full Microsoft-Suite.

Desired Qualifications

  • Associate's degree or equivalent experience in a S.T.E.M related field)
  • Analytical instrumentation, setup and upkeep.
