The Inside Sales Representative, Non-Acute is responsible for building and maintaining effective long-term relationships with a defined customer base, closing sales of the organization's products, and responding to requests from customer and channel partners to increase revenue growth and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction. This field/remote base role must be able to work Eastern hours.
You will align with members of the Non-Acute Team and Business Units to identify and focus on the immediate 'Must-Get-Rights' and cultivate relationships with key stakeholders to accelerate territory growth.
You will exhibit strong clinical and technical expertise, stay current on product updates, programs and competitive knowledge and embrace the BD Way of Selling process and tools.
Job Responsibilities: (Primary Duties, Roles, and/or Authorities)
- Achieve and manage sales targets through effective management of base business as well as closing sales opportunities.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders within assigned territory and leverage learnings to develop win/win solutions aligned to both organizational and customer goals.
- Collaborate with business unit marketing teams to expand the reach of our product portfolio; translate their strategic marketing plans into a territory plan by leveraging the product value propositions, marketing programs, and sales tactics to achieve targeted sales and growth
- Respond to customer and channel partner requests (e.g. product availability, substitute product options, product specifications) with accuracy and urgency
- Work closely with BD partners (distributors and sub-dealers) to ensure they have tools and resources needed to drive growth in the channel.
- Develop and maintain a level of excellence in technical knowledge of the products in the portfolio.
- Embrace BD way of selling approach and ensure consistent and effective use of organizational tools and resources (i.e. SFDC, Outlook etc.) to maintain clear communication and record selling activities
- Uncover and share competitive information and market trends and insights
- Manage the territory with integrity and in accordance with BD's Code of Ethics and all applicable policies, rules and procedures.
- Performing other duties as may be assigned by the National Sales Manager or Associate Director of Non-Acute
Education and Experience:
- College or University degree required. Business or medical-based studies would be considered an asset
- Prior experience in selling to Non-Acute environments (e.g. clinics, home care, retail pharmacy, biotech/pharma) and through distribution partners preferred. Previous experience selling remotely considered an asset.
- Experience with Salesforce.com will be considered a strong asset.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Ability to travel up to 10% as needed.
- Fluency in English (read write speak) is required, Bilingual French is a strong asset to communicate with French-speaking customers across the country.

- Self-motivated with a sense of urgency to achieve results and manages priorities within assigned channel with minimal supervision.
- Proven problem-solving skills. Uses logic and methods to solve difficult problems with effective solutions.
- Ability to influence decisions, set priorities and follow through with actions.
- Takes accountability and ownership; Creates effective plans to achieve targets.
- Must possess excellent communication skills (both written and verbal), allowing the effective communication of complex information to a wide variety of audiences and leveraging for the best outcome.
- Ability to manage a complex Sales Environment including managing multiple projects and timelines
- Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to build strong Customer Relationships and relationships with internal stakeholders in a matrixed organization.
